5 de Mayo (Guaynabo) — Restaurant in Guaynabo

This was our second time at 5 de Mayo. The first time we went to their place at Dorado. My husband asked for a vegeterian dish and he liked it. The chips were great. Service was good, considering there were only 2 waiters, and one was allready making drinks at the bar. They served our food pretty quickly, which was great. I gave it 3 stars because i asked for the "tacos de ceviche de dorado" and they were awfull. First , it was like they threw a bunch of salad with fish on the tortilla , and it was more than twice what you could actually fit on a taco shell, so there was no way you could eat it like you would normally eat a taco. And most importantly the fish had NO FLAVOR at all. It literally didn't have any salt . I had to ask for salt and pepper to try and fix it.. i tried..but at the end I couldn't eat it. On the other hand, The "Margarita 5 de Mayo" was really good, totally...

We recently hosted a small group at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience.

Service was attentive and quite fast despite serving 9 people in our table, food variety was really good with options for everyone, and quality, portions, presentation, and taste of the food was wonderful.

We loved their house (melon) margaritas, their queso fundido, refritos, and their carnitas which we tried in different versions- flautas de carnitas, tacos de carnitas, fajitas de carnitas, chimichangas and quesadillas de carnitas.

We came here on May 5th for the celebration of 5 de mayo. The food was amazing. The service impecable. Our waiter Angel’s service was excellent. Even though the place was packed, he was able to deliver everything on time. We had the pork belly tacos and the skirt steak fajitas. All so good. My only critique was that the DJ playing for the 5 de mayo celebration left to early, leaving everybody yearning for more music. After that the place felt dead. We...
