What a DREADFUL experience with the Enoteca staff this past Saturday, Nov 26. I have never been so DISRESPECTED at this magnitude in a restaurant. Here are the bullet points for the "quick" read, but first, note that we were a group of 15 young professionals with a few parents celebrating my partner’s 30th bday. Yes, we had been drinking wine prior to arriving, but under control at all times: Luis, the manager, after allowing my guests to sit at the designated table, decided that we were not welcomed at La Enoteca. Instead of explaining why, he rejected to speak to any of my guests and hid in the kitchen until I arrived a few minutes late. His reasoning, yet to be determined. (FYI - I went back today to get his point of view and he declined everything) While Luis was in the kitchen, the staff began to insult us with comments regarding our economic status and whether anyone at the table was even able to ”afford the bottles” I had preselected for us. This is after the fact that I organized the entire event and had an invoice prior to arriving. Then, under Luis’ order, they forcefully yanked a bottle out of my guest’s hands with no sign of respect As my guest stood up and left the establishment, I still wanted answers and walked in with family to ask question. One of the staff, potentially Vitorio, threaten to beat us and “knock our teeth out” as he grabbed a bottle of champagne and signaled with his hand that he was ready to use it as a weapon. When we finally gave up, we picked up the decorations I had brought earlier in the day, which one contained ice. On our way out, we accidentally spilled some ice on the floor and the staff and security guard’s reaction was to pick them up and throw them at our faces as we walked out of the restaurant.
I can’t express how disgusted I am with the staff and Luis. This was a celebration that was coordinated months in advanced and yes, it did involved drinking, however that does not merit the disrespect we received. We would have calmly accepted if the staff did not feel comfortable serving more alcohol to the group, however the direction and actions they took where just inexcusable.
We ended up going to the next door restaurant LA ESQUINA who deserves everyone’s business for how they were able to manage the situation, get us a table in the peak of their hours, and serve all of us happily without any issues. They earned my respect and my business. My objective with this review is so that you are informed next time you go and support La Enoteca as a business that employs people that have no sense of respect for a customer and are able to threaten their own guests.
I went back today and could not believe Luis couldn’t apologize or even accept the series of events. I’m hoping Juan, his manager, gives me a call so that we can clarify what happened and validated with...

The place also has food. The food is also very good. And it’s a nice, quiet place to sit and eat....
