China Garden — Restaurant in Guilford Township

Hi there fellow "Chambersburgites". I just wanted to let all my fellow "Chambersburgite" friends and neighbors about a TOTALLY AWESOME RESTAURANT RIGHT HERE IN THE BOROUGH OF CHAMBERSBURG!!! LOL IT IS......OFF THE HOOK!!! LOL IT IS CHINA GARDEN ON LWE RIGHT NEXT TO WALLY WORLD BABY!!! LOL I have never ever been able to find another Chinese restaurant that fixes Curry Chicken like or as good as China Garden's!!! I got hooked on it when I visited there with my ex-girlfriend many, many years ago! I still love it!!! I even got their Curry Chicken there the last 2 Saturday nights in a row! I just make sure I tell not to add any snap peas, sugar peas, pea pods, green peas, or whatever they are calling them that particular day!!! (The original owners that very possibly sold out to the current owners did not put the peas in any of the Curry Chicken meals that I purchased!!!) Plus, this last Saturday, I told them to add some extra curry!!! IT WAS OUTRAGEOUS AND FANTASTIC!!! LOL I just wish they could move to a different and larger place where they could......at least, offer a small lunch and/or dinner buffet 7 days a week!!! LOL Please let me know what other dishes you have tried and liked!!! Heck, please tell me about any other dishes you did not like! LOL I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE NOT LOVING THEIR FOOD!!! LOL THANKS! LOL) They might even be inclined to call it.......wait for it......DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!! LOL The name might be called........ED'S SPECIAL CURRY CHICKEN WITH BODACIOUS AND EXTRA CURRY.........HOLD THE PEAS...

We usually order take out from Kenzo but they are temporarily closed for remodeling. Big mistake. It's important to know your Chinese take-out place. It can be oh so good, or oh so wrong!

First of all, completely over priced for the quality. My husband picked up shrimp fried rice, and two egg rolls for each of us. They included absolutely no sauce, which is unheard of with any Chinese restaurant. You always at least get the cheap sweet and sour sauce, some sort of mustard sauce, and sometimes a soy sauce. Nothing.

The shrimp fried rice was very dry and had no flavor. It's hard to mess up shrimp fried rice. The egg rolls were okay - I had some good mustard sauce here at home and added it for flavor, but they were greasy. To spend $24 for food that you end up throwing out, that's just wrong! I've purchased frozen Innovasion brand fried rice and orange chicken that tastes much better than what we just wasted our money on.

I usually reserve my reviews for edit in case a second trip turns out different, but we'll never go back. There's a reason it was empty. This only makes me...

Ive been living off their small white rice.. i hope the lady knows i truly appreciate her help.. im running out of change to give her.. and she knows she doesnt even bothef counting up the change i give her anymore.. but i do my best to come up with enough ..

If i ever get on my feet ill recommend this place to anyone just off their generosity theyve shown me... she literally has a small white rice waiting for me.. im gonna feel bad in a couple days because i wont be able to pay and im sure shed still help me out but i wouldnt feel right not being able to pay..

Great people , obviously ive only had white rice and soy sauce so, if i base my review off that, its great!!!

But solely off her kindness, id recommend this...
