Chirps – Gulf Breeze, FL On March 1, 2025, my wife and I stopped into Chirps in Gulf Breeze around 10 a.m. while out running errands. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by a very kind hostess and seated immediately. Our waitress was quick to bring our drinks, setting a friendly and efficient tone for the meal. I ordered the meat omelette and opted to substitute the toast for a honey swirl pancake (with a small upcharge). The omelette was nothing short of fantastic — the eggs were exceptionally fluffy, and it was generously packed with a savory combination of meats and melted cheese. The honey swirl pancake was a treat all its own, served with whipped butter, maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The slight crisp on the surface gave way to a soft, flavorful bite reminiscent of a perfect fusion between a pancake, Cinnabon, and funnel cake. Absolutely worth it. My wife ordered the Day Scrambler, and I have to admit — I may have fallen for her dish even more than my own. The eggs were possibly the fluffiest I’ve ever tasted. While my wife felt there were a few too many onions, as a self-proclaimed onion enthusiast, I thought it was heaven. In fact, I happily enjoyed the extra bites she didn’t want. From start to finish, the service, food, and atmosphere were delightful. Chirps offers a welcoming environment and memorable breakfast dishes that we would gladly return for — and we certainly recommend it to anyone in the area.

This past Sunday around 9:30, my husband, in-laws, and I decided to try Chirps for the first time—and it will definitely not be our last visit! We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server, William, was friendly and attentive, starting us off with coffee and a refreshing pineapple mimosa. We began with powdered sugar beignets—light, sweet, and absolutely delicious. For entrées: • My husband ordered the Scrambler with bacon and potatoes. The flavors were great, though the potatoes tasted like frozen fried potatoes and could’ve used a touch more salt. • My father-in-law enjoyed the Full Breakfast with pecan waffles, which was a definite hit. • My mother-in-law and I both went for the California Benedict—fresh spinach, juicy tomato, and her version topped with crumbled bacon, while I added smoked salmon. The hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful, and the eggs were perfectly poached. Both came with a side of loaded Gouda grits, which were creamy, cheesy, and perfect. The prices were very reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding overall. We’re already planning many return visits!

Fantastic first visit! Our waitress (Bennie was the name on our receipt) was so incredibly sweet. Our food was delicious, but she really made the whole experience so great. We ordered a tequila sunrise and Bloody Mary, both delicious! We had the honey glazed pork belly bites (6 pieces) as an appetizer. Amazing. So tender and flavorful. I ordered smothered avocado toast with feta, bacon, tomato chunks, and avocado spread on everything bagel-like seasoned bread. It came with a side of fresh fruit. The chicken fried steak was seasoned perfectly. The gravy was such a highlight of the dish. Large plate of hash browns accompanied the chicken fried steak meal, along with eggs. My daughter ordered chicken and waffles and they smelled heavenly. The waffle was light and fluffy, chicken juicy and lightly breaded. We had a great first visit and will definitely visit again soon. I am a big fan of Another Broken Egg, but I definitely put Chirps right on top with them. I love that I can stay local to Gulf Breeze now. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, lots of natural lighting, and overall great atmosphere.

I think I might have gone to a different Chirps than most of the reviewers. My wife was looking forward to trying the food here…big disappointment!! Frozen biscuits that were worse than any other restaurant including McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Tom Thumb. Price-way too high for what you get. I had the country steak breakfast that consisted of a small piece of breaded meat with some canned gravy and a small portion of country potatoes. Had to pay a dollar extra for that frozen biscuit too. Service-way too slow because our server said others called out sick including cook staff. The restaurant atmosphere is very dull with the dark stained, straight back booths. Several reviewers mentioned the surcharge if you use plastic. This has become a normal practice since COVID. Problem is the % is not posted on the sign by the hostess station and when I asked our server she said she wasn’t sure but she thought around 2%. Wrong it was just over4%! When will these restaurants learn to just build it into their prices. For years we have been told to use plastic, use plastic but now we get charged for it. The gimmick of you get a discount using cash is just bull. Can’t remember the restaurant that used to be in this space but even it was better than Chirps. As someone else said, go to First Watch and get delicious food for a better price and an open,...
