Bonfire: Where Jamaican Culinary Artistry Ignites the Senses!
If you're seeking an authentic taste of Jamaica that will transport you to the heart of the Caribbean, look no further than Bonfire. My recent dining experience left me utterly captivated and craving for more.
The Ox Tails and Gravy: Exceptional doesn't even begin to describe it. The succulent ox tails were tender, flavorful, and simmered to perfection. The rich, savory gravy enveloped each bite, leaving a symphony of flavors dancing on my taste buds.
đč The Sweet Tea: A sip of their sweet tea took me on a nostalgic journey to those cherished family reunions of yesteryears. It's like a warm hug for your soul, perfectly balancing sweetness and nostalgia.
The atmosphere at Bonfire is warm, inviting, and the staff exudes genuine hospitality. From the moment I walked in, I felt like an honored guest. The fusion of vibrant colors and authentic decor creates an ambiance that complements the outstanding cuisine.
I must commend the chef for their dedication to preserving the authenticity of Jamaican flavors while adding their unique touch to each dish. It's clear that every meal is crafted with passion and a deep-rooted love for Jamaican cuisine.
Whether you're a seasoned Jamaican food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Bonfire is the destination that will ignite your love for Caribbean flavors. This is not just a restaurant; it's an experience that will transport you to the sunny shores of Jamaica.
Bonfire has my highest recommendation, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to savor more of their culinary treasures. Spread the word and let Bonfire be your passport to Jamaica right here in Gulfport, MS. Tell them...

The 1st time we ordered something else the second time i was so dosapppinted we went to another restaurant and pretty much vowed not to make thw trip there again. So fast gorward to May 2024. I noticed there was a new location on Pass Rd in Gulfport. I was excited it was now much closer and went in for the stewed chicken, and again they were out. I asked for the vegetarian option on the menue, they were out. I asked for the ginger tea, they were out. Now mind you, it was only 12:30 pm so i assumed they would be well stocked. Not one to give up, we went back again today, June 14, 2024 and again no ginger tea, no vegwtarian dish, no Jamaican meat patties, only pork spring rolls and no brown stew chicken. I asked for either the owner or manager, but was told the owner is only there in the mornings. It's a shame, the food i have had here was delicious, but it's super disappointing to patronize an establishment to consistently find them not having their menu items available.
I'm not sure which is most impressive, the customer service, the amazing food, the portion sizes or the prices. My husband and I come here on our date nights.Until tonight, I thought my favotite dish was the jerk chicken and my husband's was the ox tails. But tonight we added three new dished to that list. The brown stew chicken, the curry chicken and the pumpkin soup. Oh, and let's not forget the deliciously refreshing pineapple ginger drink. We always leave here with a happy belly and a song in our hearts (the music...
Read moreThis is it! This is it! We traveled from New Orleans to check this spot out. 11 out of 10 stars for tasty Caribbean food! Portions are hefty! Service is awesome! Everyone is very friendly. The homemade lemonade is perfect! The jerk chicken and oxtail are the business! I'm sorry to say that I've put the well- known Jamaican restaurant in New Orleans down for this place. It's definitely worth the drive. The only thing missing is the baked Mac and cheese. Our server, Kayla was a doll. Kudos đ Oh.. bring a small plate for each customer for when customers order appetizers... Customers do not want to eat from the baskets where the appetizers are placed in, or place the food on a paper napkin.
I am adding an update to my review because I feel that the restaurant is losing out on valuable business. They should add some indication for Carribean food to their building and put signage for the same outside. Perhaps palm trees with traditional Carribean colors on the side of the building. I'd passed by the building a million times en route to the casino. With the building being slightly offset, in dark colors, you really don't pay attention, and can't tell whether cars are there unless you turn to look back. I only found them as the result of a Google search, specifically for Carribean food. They should be way more popular, and I would like to see this place flourish. NO, I DO NOT HAVE ANY RELATION TO THE ESTABLISHMENT...
