Bayview Furniture — Local services in Gulfport

I was looking for a bed that would fit into a small bedroom and had storage. After looking at several in local stores, I settled on the Bayview Palimeno storage bed because it was made from much sturdier lumber so the sleeper would not be shaken wake when they rolled over. I also bought an extra set of drawers (it comes with one for right or left side) to maximize storage. I paid $897.00. First the pros : Materials: constructed of beefy pine. Design: good, practical for intended use. The drawer slides are ok but will not stand much abuse that children might give them. Cons: Very poor finish: Burn and scuff marks all over left from a router. I doubt very much it was sanded at all. Stain looked like it was applied with a BBQ mop, spotty and very thin. No varnish. I refinished mine before assembling. Construction: I expected better. Rails are attached with long lag screws any side loading in this area while trying to move the bed will break the soft pine. I reinforced all rail corners with metal braces (used in building construction) that I purchased at a hardware store. Workmanship: Poor. I had to disassemble one side rail of its’ slat rests because it was installed so crooked it prevented the clearance required to allow the drawer unit to evenly set under the bed frame. This review is for "Bayview Movers" also owners of Bayview Furniture. Bayview came highly recommended and all the reviews I read had glowing reports. Anthony the owner was very polite friendly and described everything that was offered and described the packing operation in it's entirety. He first sent Donna and Sharon to our house to start the packing with them paying great attention to protecting everything that was to be boxed which included delicate china and glasses, etc. Their attention to detail while packing was second to none. It was a pleasure having them in my house seeing how professionally they worked. by the end of the move which took 3 days (we had a very large house with much furniture and articled in the loft), they felt like family and we even had lunch together on that last day. The guys that moved everything from the house to trucks and to storage did a great job working tirelessly. They were polite and very careful in how they moved larger heavy objects. Anthony also recommended very affordable climate controlled storage for us in Gulfport while we were waiting to decide when to ship everything to San Antonio, TX. I will not be considering anyone else to move us to San Antonio. It will be a pleasure to see them all again when...

I want to say that Anthony, Donna and Tyler were awesome. They went above and beyond helping me. Anthony help me hang an electric fireplace, that looks perfect. Donna helped me empty my boxes and put things away, made my bed, lined my cabinets, Anthony helped to position my furniture perfectly and made sure everything was completed to perfection. Shout out to a Great team that felt like family.
