So, it was 1:30 AM, and both my girlfriend and I were starving. My paycheck just hit, and Waffle House was right around the corner. We threw our shoes on and headed out, already knowing what we wanted.
When we got there, we were greeted with their customary "Welcome to Waffle House!" saying in a polite and cheerful tone. We said hello and took our seat. I looked around a bit. The restaurant wasn't busy, and everything seemed neat and tidy. No dirty dishes were left at the booth. I started to relax. The previous two times I came here, I had horrible experiences, but like the hardheaded person I am, I decided to come back. I didn't regret a thing.
After we sat down, we were promptly greeted by our server. She introduced herself and was kind and courteous. We placed our drink orders, and she brought them to us shortly thereafter. Everything was going smoothly so far! Since we already knew what we wanted to eat, we went ahead with our food orders, and we kept it simple too! We both ordered the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt with hashbrowns. She took down our orders and called them out to the cook.
About ten minutes or so passed, and our food was done. She brought us our plates, and we were ready to chow down! I took a bite of my sandwich, and it tasted just like I remembered: warm, tender cheesesteak covered in gooey cheese, topped with crisp, savory bacon, all between two slices of buttered, toasted bread. I hadn't eaten in hours, and this cheesesteak was hitting the spot! Our server checked on us periodically and kept our drinks full.
After we ate, I proceeded to pay. I thanked the server for the excellent service and food. My opinion of this restaurant has turned around, and I will be coming...
Read moreI am very disappointed in the Waffle House. I just left there store about 30 minutes ago. Long story short horrible customer service. I been going to this Waffle House for 1 year. My family is military. Walked in and stay down thinking I was going to buy food and some lady told me I couldn’t buy food to go because they had a full house. (Lol) Full House she say no freaking way. I even ask her 3 times I can’t buy food here because it’s to go. She said yes and never even said sorry sir we are slam pack. Remember full House I will post a video of her full house and show it to her store manager. It was 7 young kids on the left side. (Ages 18-22). And one god sitting at the bar where I was going to order. Not a full house not even close to being a full house. Here’s my problem not only did you tell me I couldn’t order but you could have said sorry. And I am not a ass hole customer who wouldn’t mind waiting for my house. I come here because the food is great. I will contact the store manager on Friday morning and see what they have to say. I am also willing to show my video. We spend 40 dollars for a family of 4 every time we eat here which is about 2 times a week. Thank you for...
Read moreI stopped in for a cup of coffee and to get out of the rain. Had a pipping hot bowl of chili, hot coffee and nice helping of saltines. :)
Good Food & Friendly Service. One chef was training a new cook of procedures and best practices. I was reassured to hear him stress the importance of allergen safety and customer care. Being curious I asked if he had gluten alternatives. He said they didn't have specific gluten free items on menu, but he listed items he could prepare for a celiac customer such as chicken breast and scrambled eggs whites. :) Nice way to go the extra mile for the customer!
Safety Measures- They've marked of alternating booths and spaced counter chairs in groups with far more than 6 feet between. Most workers were wearing masks though some had them on their chins when not near customers. One Worker was mopping when I came in, but she took care with wet floor signs and mopping in sections with hot enough water that the floor was...
