I am writing to report an extremely unpleasant customer experience with the McDonalds on 1010 Cowan Rd, Gulfport, MS. During this experience I tried to place a drive through order using a Drive Thru Code from the McDonalds app for a 4 for 4 meal with a McDouble, 4 pc chicken nuggets, small fries and Medium drink. Despite telling the drive through worker the code and him confirming it, after I paid for the meal (which came out to $4.04), I only received the McDouble and a medium Diet Coke. Given that I was supposed to receive the 4 for 4 I told the drive through worker that I was missing a small fries and 4 pc McNugget, to which she replied to give her some time to check. The manager soon came out, at which point I assumed to make amends for the problem, but told me that if I looked at the receipt “I only ordered a McDouble and a Diet Coke”, which totaled the $4.04 I paid for. I was also told that they could not fix the issue and if I wanted to get the deal, I would have to circle back through the drive through and order again, and that “if I wanted the 4 for 4 I should have given them the code originally”. I promptly responded one of her workers confirmed my code when I ordered it and given this was their error, it was not my fault. Even so, the manager insisted this could not be changed and “I needed to leave”. Furthermore, I asked the manger for her name telling her I was going to file a complaint, but she refused to tell me her name! This kind of service is unacceptable and I would promptly like compensation for this meal and interaction. I don’t even have the stomach to eat the food that I was given, given this was such a negative experience. I just recently signed up for Uber Eats and was paged to go pick up delivery. When I arrived not knowing what the procedure was , I stepped out of a very long line and went to counter to ask. I was immediately addressed by the manager Nate Daniels in the Gulfport MS Cowan Rd store. He had a real terrible attitude and told me to go stand by the door and would get to me in a second.
I waited another fifteen minutes or so and was concerned about the order so went back to the counter and asked the cashier if the meal was supposed to be ready when I got there or what. Again, the manager yelled at me across the restaurant to get over by the door or will be reported to Uber... what? I had done nothing to instigate being yelled at or reported!
I waited another ten minutes and was called to the counter to pick up the meal. I asked the manager what his name was because he was not wearing a name tag? He ignored me. After asking him three times, I asked another employee and before they could answer, the manager yelled "he's the manager. His name is MANAGER!"
Being in the management and customer service flied, Leading by example is key to a good staff. Management is the weather vane that directs the success or failure of a business.
I have always respected and appreciated this restaurant franchise. I know Mc Donald's standards for quality customer service and has implemented great measures to make sure their customers are job one.
My review is not based on the franchise but for thinking this guy is good...
Read moreSo I had my autistic nephew in the car with me and only had enough money to get him a happy meal and me something to eat cause they ran a special for 4 PM and I literally had 30 seconds before the deal started and the ride manager came on the speaker and asked why I was holding his line up and didn't even know my situation. So I was trying to explain what was going on and he/she still didn't listen and refused to take my order and told me to drive out of the line. I have been staying in the Gulfport area for 2 years now and it's been a lot of that from these fastfood restaurants where they dont respect customers hurrying us through drive thru lines and then when you get up to the window the order is wrong. I even had one place where I do t know if the girl was high off something or what but I gave her a $20 bill and my order was only $5 and some change and she was trying to give me $4 and some change back was expecting me to drive off and then the manager came and they both was questioning me like I was lying so I told both of them to go look at the tape if they didn't believe me but I wasn't finna pull up or do none of that extra stuff they be wanting you to do just to keep others time down. Let it be k you own that these owners and district managers of these restaurants need to come check on they people and if you having a bad day and don't wanna do your job stay at home cause customers would like to be respected too...... have...
