Everything was 3 stars across the board for my husband and I. This is the first time we tried Billito's since it changed from Vitoni's.
The tables are covered with cheap dollar store plastic table cloths, my husband's plate that you start with was greasy/not clean, and the AC almost seemed as if it wasn't working.
The food was alright, nothing that "WOW'd" us. We had the stuffed mushrooms and portobello pasta. The pasta comes with 3 overcooked shrimp, sausage, and what seemed like boiled chicken, along with veggies. It was good, but not our favorite. Not worth the $18.99 we paid for the dish!
Our waitress was nice, very soft-spoken, and very attentive to start, but as time passed, her presence became almost non-existent at the end. All the employees were sat together chit-chatting a little too loud and not paying much attention to anyone in the restaurant. (Apparently, our waitress is broke or something from what I was overhearing from their loud banter.) After eating, we sat there waiting about 10 minutes, if not longer, for our waitress to come. Finally, a gentleman noticed we were just sitting there doing nothing and came to ask us if we needed anything. After I voiced that we were sat there a while, he was apologetic, and we were able to finally get our to-go box and pay.
Also, something to note: When you go to the cashier to pay by card, you are forced to pick from 4 choices for a tip, starting at 15% and going up from there. I did notice they had a card and cash price, which was about a couple dollar difference (cash was a little cheaper).
The best thing we had tonight was the rolls. Those...
Read moreWe moved here a year ago and found this restaurant. We understand that the owners have been making a lot of changes (new furniture, new table ware, etc.). These changes cost money. But, the food is the same, the portions are the same and prices have raised some. The last straw is that two lunch specials (Spaghetti and Meat Lasagna, two salads and teas). We always tip 20% for good service. Our total cost was $39.01 It turn out our teas were $6.00 and we were charged a fee for supporting the restaurant ($1.49). I am supporting the restaurant by patronizing it. $3.00 per tea is insane. Beverages are one of your lowest cost items I was in the restaurant business). They have finally priced us out of having lunch here. They are not the only one that has done this. We will just have lunches at home and possibly (big maybe) have dinner here once in a great while. If others are like us, I am sure the increasing prices are limiting their eating out as well. At some point businesses will learn. By the way, we have a business and we have seen a decline in business. We have adjusted our pricing (lower by 25%) to draw more business. It has worked for us. Sorry, bye...
Read moreFood and service was EXCELLENT. I LOVE THIS PLACE and order take out often!
Food is flavorful, very fairly priced. Drive to Kaufman and see what you pay for Italian food. The prices here are comparable and the quality is better. Portion sizes are just right. You can tell they are really trying to do a good job- plenty of staff and the owners are there all day. I hope you guys stay! You're a gem to have in our town and the food is delicious. Your Alfredo sauce is awesome!
I want to mention, I really dislike it when people give a restaurant a 1 star review on Google just because they had to wait to be seated or a waitress made a simple mistake! Good grief people. They're brand new! Give em some time. And if you don't like the flavor- move on! Every restaurant is different. If you have an issue, let them know first. These are small business families trying to offer quality services in our town, and we sure need variety here! This restaurant is awesome. 100% better than the old Italian restaurant and given the amount of staff on hand, if you have an issue, I'd almost bet they'll try to fix it. And no, I do not work for this business nor...
