Absolutely terrible. They clearly don't know how to plan catering events. A couple of us signed up for a dinner cruise and Mimi's caters it. We were the last ones and ALL the food was gone except for this minced meat and canned green beans. They had the audacity to give us basically one bite of potatoes and call it a serving when we watched everyone ahead of us have healing plates of chicken, potatoes, & cornbread. That was just poor planning. One of my friends didn't even get a cornbread scrap and they gave her more ground beef like that was acceptable.
The food was bland too. I wouldn't get food from this place if it was the only place left open in that town.
When I said they didn't plan it well her response was she made half chicken and half beef. Well, clearly that was a bad idea and you still didn't make enough side dishes. Nobody and I mean NOBODY wanted that ground beef.
The lies were gross too... the dough was like leftover pastry dough with canned apple filling and a bunch of granulated sugar dumped on top of it.
Unless something major changes, absolutely don't get food here or you'll be...
Read moreThe good… the rolls were excellent, but it stopped there! It’s a meat and 3, and what we ordered (chicken and dressing), was mostly from a can. Dessert came with the lunch, so we chose pound cake. They brought the pound cake out first - which was strange, and we really should have just left right then. The middle was completely un cooked. We both laughed and poked at it, and it was hard as a rock. We don’t really care about dessert, so we hoped the lunch would be good. Like I said, it was canned for the most part and I found one small piece of chicken in my dressing. We laughed :), and paid and gave the stressed out waitress a good tip. Pretty much horrible, and when I got home, I had a sour stomach, which is not common for...
Read moreHaving a cozy bungalow as the venue definitely gives Mimi's an advantage in my book! BUT it's ALSO what can be a bit off-putting. You see, the interior is more like someone's house--that isn't quite ready for company 🤔🧐🤨 A few items on the menu had been depleted--although I don't think they HAVE a menu! We just chatted with our friendly server who let us know what choices were left. Both chicken spaghetti and meatloaf were left. We went with the spaghetti and liked our food very much. It was served on vintage (mismatched) dinnerware. So it's a real mix here...sorta like stopping by a friend's house...with a rather shabby interior but friendly hard-working folks. So, I would say, it all depends on what you enjoy/expect when...
