STAY AWAY FROM THIS SPOT! !! 5/2/2016 @1245 Decided to check this place out based in the yelp reviews. We were just looking for some decent take out. The rudest most disrespectful, place I've ever been to! Don't anti to cask the "R" card, buuuuttttt...... This lady's attitude toward us does not have words!!. She was even too busy to acknowledge us and we're literally standing right IN FRONT OF HER! Every time (5+) we literally opened our mouth to order she said "I'm too busy". After she helped everyone who came in after us, she proceeded to take phone orders! !!! Right there 2 feet from us. We were standing right there by her phone, counter, calculator, and register. ... we waited a good 10+ minutes and all she kept saying whenever we tried to ask to order is "it's Chinese food, you know". The customer service was awful. Her attitude is awful. The fact that there is only one person running the whole operation as an excuse is pathetic. Their chow Mein looked tasty, but all I have is a bitter taste for this place. RUDE RUDE...
Read moreI have to agree on two things about this restaurant. First, the food is decent and reasonably priced. The second is that the owner's wife, or you could say co-owner is the rudest person I've ever met that runs a restaurant. My experience occurred when I ordered food-to-go and gave her my credit card, which I had done frequently in the past. Apparently there was a sign I hadn't noticed that no credit cards were accepted for orders under $25, something I was not aware of. When I mentioned that I didn't know the limits, she asked me, "what's wrong, you don't have any cash"? I was so angry I said "cancel the order" and walked out, as she ran to the kitchen to cancel my order. Actually pretty ridiculous! This was about two years ago and I will never go back. She is not only rude, she is incredibly ignorant. Yup, stay away from here unless you want to experiment on how you'll be treated. I'm a white older guy, but I do notice she treats people differently depending on her mood, which is...
Read moreAte with family 2 or 3 times, and the dishes we ordered were wonton soup (customized as salt free) for my baby, kungpao chicken, eggplant stew with beef, and port short rib. We enjoyed the food - tasty and yet not salty at all. I don't feel thirsty after meal. The food is as cozy and pleasant as the settings.
The female owner is slow witted as far as the art of speech is concerned, considering that we spoke the same language - Chinese, but we didn't mind it. We're there to eat, not to get pampered like at the Bloomingdale's or Saks Fifth Ave.
Business seemed to be good, always packed. I saw diners from various ethnic backgrounds. The cook did a good job preparing meals for customers with different needs and preferences. We live in West Covina and will certainly visit again when...
