After the farmers market my daughter and I crossed the street to get a coffee from here. I didn’t think it would be an issue since it is a “cafe”. My daughter ordered her coffee and the girl seemed confused and asked a lady nearby if they could make it. The lady said ok and we paid and waited. 10 min went by and nothing. I hadn’t realized how much time had passed because we were chatting and laughing, but after a while i started looking over to see what the delay was. The lady making the coffee was laughing and chatting with someone on the phone. I already knew she messed up the order cuz the coffee she was making was hot and not iced like my daughter ordered. I thought maybe it wasn’t ours and still waited. The girl asked us if we wanted something else and if we paid and we said no we just wanted the coffee. The lady gets off her important phone call and realizes she made it incorrectly and starts all over. Asking again what we ordered. After almost another 10 minutes my daughter finally gets her coffee and it was awful. I can’t speak for the food but the service and coffee was horrific. I had actually taken a menu because I hadnt realized they served hot food but i tossed it after we left cuz we will definitely get our food and coffee elsewhere. Hopefully they will do better for the next person. I will definitely never go back. As it is the parking situation isn’t great and spots are limited so the whole experience...
Read moreI have visited here for food many times and didn’t want to review right away. Now that I have had many different experiences, I can fully leave my opinion. I only like one dish, the Bistec Encebollado with yellow rice and black beans, it’s delicious! That is the only reason I gave it a two star. I have tried many other dishes and haven’t been impressed, their consistency is awful. At first I really enjoyed their arepas but after a couple other times ordering them, they never tasted the same. I don’t know if they changed the recipe, either way it was just not appetizing, very dry and rubbery. It is very disappointing and angering that if you order take out they charge you for the actual container the food comes in. I feel like that is a bit ridiculous. That should be something covered by the restaurant, especially if they are going to offer to-go food. Their milkshakes taste like the milk has gone rancid. My stomach is a wreck for days afterwards. Also, the last time my boyfriend and I had their empanadas. They had something very hard (harder than cartilage) inside the empanada that broke his tooth in half. I don’t think we will be returning there again. Especially since the food is overpriced and they still have to charge further fees...
Read moreWhen this place first opened, the food was amazing and delicious, the coffee was very tasty, and the juices were really good.
I went back to this place this past Sunday and ordered food to go. The cashier didn’t even acknowledge us, she was too busy counting her tips and dividing it amount the workers. It took her about 15 minutes. When another person finally asked what we wanted to order I told her we ordered take out. She was friendly and gave us our food, I asked for an empanada, she looked scared and inexperienced and asked another person if it was the right one.
Finally, we started eating out food, we god two frijoladas, one bandeja paisa, 3 empanadas, a soho. JESUS CHRIST!! there was no taste in any of the food. This blew my mind. The frijolada looked gross, everything was mixed together with no balance. Poorly packed. The bandeja paisa’s chicharrón was dry and hot no meat, we ended up throwing everything out.
To the owner, you need to speed up your game and start supervising your workers and do more quality checks...
