Dollar General — Local services in Hackettstown

Doug was so helpful and patient with me earlier!! I came into the store looking for a specific item. There was a sale going on, so I wanted to come in and make the purchase. When it was rung up on the register, the sale wasn’t there. He informed me that I had to download the DG app in order to get the two dollars off. I wasn’t aware so he went and took me step by step through it and we were able to get through the transaction effectively. Not only did I save some money but he showed me other cool features on the app which was convenient for me as a customer. Closed early all the time, and I don't think corporate is okay paying people to close the doors and sit around. Because ya’ll definitely aint cleaning during that time you close early since the store is always dirty. Oh and lets talk about there lack of common sense. If you know people are in the store and your self check out is down why are you in the back of the store having customers wait over 5 minutes for you to realize you must ring them up. Once again COMMON SENSE. But hey guess it aint too COMMON...

This store is a tough one to rate properly. I like the convenience, BUT THE TRASH AND LITTER scattered throughout the POORLY designed Parking Lot is Pathetic!! This Store is a Direct Reflection and a sign of the RAPID DECLINE of the once nice town of Hackettstown, N.J. - Dollar General Corporate needs to spend money on a DAILY CLEANING CREW - Sadly, Hackettstown is NOT what it once was - It has become Trash and the tons of Litter has become UNBEARABLE !!
