I myself have visited a goodbeet quite a few times, And I was thrilled to be able to bring The apple of my eye along, I'll refer to her as blue, We were greeted by Mike who I've seen before and is always a gracious host and help when it comes to ordering. He seems to have limitless expert knowledge of every menu item right down to the last ingredient. The simplicity of ordering through the barcode menu online is a fantastic idea. He also offered us the option of ordering directly from him, which we chose. Blue decided to order the crispy tofu sandwich. Which is lightly battered perfectly crispy tofu, lettuce tomato red onion, there is a choice of bang bang, ranch, barbecue, and secret sauce she chose vegan barbecue and secret sauce. After seeing many plates being delivered to other tables, one caught my eye The Cowboy Burger, which is a good beat burger. Which in itself is made up of portobello walnut and black bean patty, This Burger came topped with American cheese, coconut bacon, lightly battered fried onions, pickles, ranch and barbecue sauce. We also decided to share the Quiona Ceasar salad, which is made up of mixed greens, including romaine, balsamic red onions, smokey chickpeas, cruton's, cashew parm, and cashew caesar dressings. I also ordered a hot mud water latte, I've always ordered the cold, which I love. Mike suggested trying the hot. This consisted of cacao. masala chai, tumeric, Seasalt cinnamon, chaga, cordyceps, reishi, Lions mane, offered with almond or oat milk, we chose Steamed oatmilk We split our sandwiches so we can have a bite of each. And each was absolutely fantastic. They were both served on a delicious soft bun, Not sure if it was brioche nonetheless fantastic. These sandwiches are made perfectly. we got a little bit of ingredient in every bite, including sauce. This is where some places fail at doing this. The food gets lost inside the bun. or slides off to the side. and you just end up with a bun, not here! Hats off to the chef, After the sandwiches, we split up the salad, again made perfectly. Just the right amount of ingredients not overdressed yet never lacking flavor or dressing We left nothing left on the plates. The hot mud water latte was excellent compliment to the end of the meal as always. We decided to order two desserts, and Blue decided to choose the slu#$ty brownie. And I complimented that with a cup of cinnamon delicious soft serve Ice cream. They warmed the brownie, The brownie itself is quite large, so it is suitable to Split We put dollups of the ice cream on top of the brownie, and of course, a match maiden in heaven, another plate, licking experience and still had a little ice cream leftover and a 1/2 of hot latte, we looked at each other and said, "Yep, the ice cream's going in the latte Yum, Yum! They also have filtered water, which is a big plus. You never know what you're going to get at other places. They have a filtered water urn that you self-serve, which is great So good. Blue has been vegan for 12 years now, I myself have been vegan for 3 years in total, The industry is growing, and I believe will come full circle within the next 5 to 10 years, I think more and more people are getting on board. Knowing the benefits of eating cleanly special thanks to goodbeet Helping drive Sustainability Initiative, Just a note. While there may be some mistakes in whatever written it will be going over to make corrections, Let's just.Say I back the blue because she's great at finding my mistakes:) And apologies, I still have 5 other restaurants that i've been too before going to Good beet real gems I might add and we're.I want to take special care of reviewing them.I will be getting them out this week. Read moreThe Skinny: Completely plant based and gluten free cafe.
Atmosphere: Super chill, trendy and clean place to grab a healthy meal or desserts. Tables to accommodate large parties or just as little as one person dining.
Food: Perfect for vegans, people who are curious or transitioning to vegan food. They also serve everything, gluten free. I ordered the signature Heart Beet Burger at $12. (It's 9/10.) The beet burger was perfectly prepared and had nice crisp edges to it. In my honest opinion, it is better than any beef burger I have tasted because it's lighter in taste and not as heavy and dense. The horseradish aioli had a small kick but I was hoping for more of a punch. That however is subjective and it is my preference and should bear no negativity towards their burger. With my burger, I also had a kale salad that was out of this world good! They put just the right amount of dressing and the kale was not the slightes bit bitter. They also cut the stems off which was greatly appreciated. Hubby had the Breakfast Skillet at $12. (It is 7/10) It came with tofu scramble cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of peppers and onions. Sometimes when you oder a tofu scramble with veggies, the veggies come out soggy. Glad to state these were not. However, the potatoes were a bit harder than he preferred. I tasted a few of them and had to agree. They definitely should have been cooked longer. The fresh avocado that came with the bowl was bright and green and perfectly ripe. We've all had horror stories where eating establishments serve them unripened or overly ripened. One word: yuk. Thankfully this establishment had it down to a science... or luck on our part. ;)
Service: You order your meal at the counter. The cashier calls it into the kitchen and someone brings it out to your table. Quick and efficient. Everyone there was very friendly and if you had any questions about the dessert or entree, they are more than helpful in explaining things to you.
Price/Value: For those of us who cook vegan, gluten free food at home, know the hard work it goes to making a dish. It's totally worth every penny for me.
Would I come back: It took me about a little over an hour and half to get to this establishment. With that, I would still say a definite yes, if I am in the...
Read moreTerrible experience at this establishment. I held off for a long time awaiting a call back and refund.....but after several several calls there.......management would not call me back. My daughter purchased a cup of ice cream for $10 and I got a to-go cold coffee that cost $9 (When we got home 45 minutes away....I only then noticed it was 4 months expired/I have a photo on my phone). My daughter and I ordered and she ate her little cup of expensive ice cream. We waited over 35 minutes for our food, as others were being served. Finally, I got curious and went over to a cube shelf and looked for my name, wondering if they put it with the to-go pick-up ordered. Well, it was there. I pulled the bag out and found a little cold and dry burger in a box and the wrong meal my daughter wanted. I took the sealed un-opened salad containing onions and hot peppers (specifically ordered without) back up to the counter. I explained they had not given us the right salad. They said that's all they had and didn't make their own salads. So, I asked for a refund, and made sure the girl kept my receipt with my name and number. She said it would take a few days for the refund to show up in my account. I also asked that the manager call me so I could explain our experience, and she said no problem. No one called. Days went by. I left my name number again. Weeks went by, I called and left my number yet again. And again, no call back. Also, never got a refund. I didn't ask for a full refund....just wanted the salad bowl and perhaps the coffee I threw away to be reimbursed. We spent over $50 while there and left hungry. I had to go get my Vegan daughter a meal elsewhere. I was patient, kind to the workers, and I always tip well. There's no reason to treat people this way. So customers, beware. Poor management. They won't explain the process, if you are new to the place. The food isn't up to par. Products may even be expired as happened to me. It's all expensive. Very...
