Vinoteca — Restaurant in Half Moon Bay

This is arguably now my favorite wine bar in the Bay Area. The venue is so charming; it has different sections / vibes across the store. I sat at the communal table with friends, but could see myself lounging on the couches some Saturday reading a book.

The wine selection is fantastic, well-priced, and I appreciated that they offer a "half glass" sample size. The owners are very knowledgable, and often have stories from personally visiting the vineyards they feature on the menu. If you like something you tried, you can buy a bottle!

What a nice tasting room. Great atmosphere in Half Moon Bay - nice to do a tasting next to a wall rack full of bottles! I tried the red flight, and it was amazing starting with a Nebbiolo, followed by a Malbec, and then a Tempranillo. Suppose a generous and really good deal for the price I had an empanada as a snack, and it was really good. I would consider this one of the better wine tasting places...

Vinoteca is a must-visit coastal gem. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is awesome- unpretentious, inviting, great music. The staff is so nice, Julia was our server and brought a great energy.
