I totally had my heart set on going to another local bar while visiting Hamburg to keep up with tradition. My boyfriend wanted to check this place out... I lost, so we came to 1787 Brewing Company. I was a bit upset in the car during the drive to 1787. I don't typically drink beer, so after looking at the beer list, nothing really interest me and only saw 1 cider on the list. I ordered a sample of the cider which sounded super sweet with the thought of a Long Island truly being my drink of the night.... well... the cider was super fruity upon the first sip but didn't follow up super sweet or bitey and made me want more of it. I then took a sip of their Blue Rock NE IPA... that was the first IPA I have ever tasted that didn't make me want to drink something else immediately. The staff was super accommodating with meal substitutions to make a meal healthier. I however decided to order the Pork Tots.... OH, LORD HAVE MERCY!! Pretty sure I saw Jesus when I took my first bite! Seems to me like I will have to send my favorite bartender at the other staple Hamburg bar a...

Went here for late lunch on a Sunday and was seated right away as there were only a few other diners in the place. I could see parking getting a little tricky since it’s off street but we did not have a problem finding a spot almost in front of the place since we went during an off hour. We were greeted and seated right away. I love the entire aesthetic of the place - it’s all very clean and well kept. Service was excellent, Brandon did a wonderful job and was timely bringing all of our food. We ordered the comeback burger, 3 fried chicken tacos, and an order of fries. Fries were excellent - tasted super fresh and the portion was huge. They call their burgers smashburgers but I wouldn’t say that is completely accurate since they’re thicker and didn’t appear to be smashed down at all. The flavor however was good. The chicken tacos were disappointing since there was an over abundance of the slaw and it was an obviously previously frozen chicken tender. Overall it was good and we will likely return when in the area, but would not order the chicken...

Wish I would've taken pictures to show 5 star Food and Service and oo yea, beers. Small Town, Big Flavor. Service was second to absolutely noone. 5 o clock on Friday evening and tables were full and so were dishes being served in a very timely manner. Beer orders from tables to bar were within a minute on second rounds. Highly recommend Brisket Tot but get there in April because there's a monthly special menu and I'd like to see this dish for eternity there 😉 The beers advertised seemed a little hoppy but any good brewery/restaurant knows how to blend their sauces with appetizers to make the beers standout. Highly recommend "Every 3rd Wednesday." (Coconut Stoudt) Don't worry, it's not that 'heavy' Stoudt. It's a flavorful beer with a flatter coconut ending. Don't discriminate dark beers! Perfect with the Brisket...

1787 is exactly what Hamburg has needed for years. The restaurant brings a breath of fresh air and tons of fun to the town. The location is immaculately redone to compete with brew pubs anywhere in the country. The beers vary in flavor and profile, but none disappoint. I recommend the Fern Sholly, a not-too-hoppy IPA perfectly refreshing. The menu is limited, and it works best that way. There is food for health conscious people, but most of it is delicious bar food. Loaded tater tots will rock your world. The pulled pork is something to salivate about, the burgers are always juicy and tasty. 1787 is q world class spot for locals, travelers and pilgrims alike.

This visit I wanted to taste all of the beers they brew. All are well done there's something for everyone. The bar tender is knowledgeable about the beers and how to compare them to known brands and styles. Food is served hot, tastes were fresh and properly seasoned. I enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch Flatbread. It went well with many of the beers. Then the Mushroom Swiss smash burger great seasoning and plenty of mushrooms and Swiss with a nice fresh bun. It came with chips, I would have loved it to come with fries or at least the option. Service was friendly and prompt...you should give it a try.
