Hazel’s Cafe — Restaurant in Maxatawny Township

The coffee is incredible and never misses, however, I keep trying to give them a chance with the food but something is always wrong/added without me asking for it/missing.

I’m not sure if their POS system just doesn’t relay things correctly or if it isn’t paid attention to closely enough but i think today was the last day i give the food a chance. Ex. Ordered a biscuit and just wanted jelly on it and got one with peanut butter and jelly on it so i ended up eating half of the biscuit that only had jelly. I didn’t say anything just because it’s always something and i get it, stuff happens. The previous time I ordered a biscuit with bacon and cheese and got biscuits and gravy with bacon and cheese. They did refund me for this mistake and got me the correct thing as soon as they noticed I wasn’t touching it.

The management/owner always makes it right and for that it is greatly appreciated! A little fine tuning and this place would be 100000/10⭐️

I will always come back for the coffee though!! Highly recommend any of the coffees they’re my fav.

I love going to Hazels and my experiences are usually positive but I was disappointed in this visit. The coffee came out very quickly and was delicious but we had to wait an additional 45 minutes to receive our breakfast sandwiches. During this wait period I had to change my order twice due to food items being out of stock (I had to switch from an Acai bowl to a breakfast sandwich because they ran out of the base and I had to switch the bagel type I ordered because they were out of plain bagels). My friend had to change their order once as well during this waiting period. When the food did come out it was delicious as well but with the wait time we were unable to enjoy it as we had to leave. Additionally my friend’s breakfast sandwich was not hot when it arrived. Overall the food and coffee was delicious but the wait time and having to change our orders multiple times definitely changed our experience. Next time having someone tell you ahead time what you are out of would be helpful when ordering as well as what the wait time would...

the food is excellent-never misses a beat. calling an order in for pickup is messy.. always told to “wait” or “hang on a second” and “when can you be here”. and have to repeat it 3 times. if you go in to eat, you have to add your own cream and sugar to coffee at the table behind chairs. if i wanted to make my own coffee i would do so at home… we asked for “just orange juice” and they did not have any. a coffee shop with orange juice in drinks and they can’t pour a cup of just oj? ask for water instead and was told water is free okay good! received our sandwiches without my water. go back and ask for the water and it’s fresh out of the sink tap… really gross. have some stocked bottles of water or a machine maybe. have to ask where to put the dishes because there’s really no organization in the shop. behind the counter is messy, but cooks are great. never really knowing what service you’re going to get each time calling or ordering inside. at least the food is good. really just...
