Pizza Como — Restaurant in Hamburg

I ordered the personal pizza and a cheesesteak. I’m not a picky eater at all but the cheese steak did not taste like anything. I had to drown it in ketchup because it was super dry although I ordered extra Mayo. Their staff was nice which is why I gave it 2 *’s . The personal pizza wasn’t fulfilling. It did not have any sauce on it and the bread and cheese were very thin layered.

I say all of this to express my experience and review on the items I ordered. The pizza wasn’t piping hot, but pizza should taste good no matter the temperature. I gave some to my 84 year old client and he surely doesn’t complain about ANYTHING, but made a yucky face when I asked him if he wanted more. He is usually greedy and accepting of any and everything I offer him but not this pizza from this place. Anyways, I’m from Philly so it’s possible I could be too critical here.

I go to new places based off reviews and the reviews here were pretty okay and so I went in (no delivery). I will not tell anyone what to do except to make your own decisions and go in and try what you like. You may like it! Again, staff was really pleasant! So I have been meaning to write a review on this place since I moved to Hamburg and today is finally the day.

Pizza…..best in Hamburg hands down. The other 2 places are miles behind. I have never ordered anything but their pizza because I am picky with sandwiches and especially pastas.

But I been wanting a good bowl of chilli and I saw on their menu it’s called “Carmines chilli” and tonight I decided to order it and feared it was store bought chilli which alot of places do. (Been in the pizza business my whole life so I know many different shop owners)

Soon as I opened the chilli I could smell the fresh ingredients. I took a garlic knot and dipped it in and took my first bite. Amazing. Freah ingredients, the right amount of herbs and spices. I will definitely be ordering again on a cold sunday during football season. Pizza Como….you...

Not good. Maybe we should have stuck to pizza. My wife and I both got chicken parmesan variations. She got hers with fries and mine was as a meal. Her fries were fine, pretty good actually. We both got one chicken patty. It was tiny, flat, and looked like something you'd get in a school cafeteria on a hamburger roll. My spaghetti was ok tasting but the portion size was super small. My salad was a few pieces of lettuce, one cucumber slice, one tomato slice, and two red onion slices. The dressing was great but I barely had anything to put it on. The garlic bread was the strangest thing about our meal. It was toasted bread with a very little bit of some kind of garlic tomato sauce spread down the center, except it was dry and didn't even cover half the pieces.
