Saturday 7/27/2025, we had dinner in Ewing and then decided to go to Halo Pub in Hamilton for Ice Cream for dessert. Wow has this place changed for the worst. Service was rude by more than one of the young people working, Ice Cream was GRITTY, Hot fudge was like water. I commented to the first young lady that was serving me and she stated that's how it is, and has always been. NOT TRUE!! She then passed me on to another young man who didn't even acknowledge what I had said and she Rudely walked away, as if not interested in my concern. My wife and I then sat down to eat what we had bought (soon to be asked by another worker to pay, which we already had done) and the disappointment continued. Too much Gritty Ice Cream in the cup, leaving not much room for the watered down Fudge. The whole time my wife and I not discussing the experience (me because I drove her 1/2 hour from home for Ice Cream, and her (well I don't know). So tonight (Sunday) I said what a horrible experience last night, and she didn't hesitate to agree. Both of us living in the area our entire lives (and now 62). Please know, There WAS A TIME "HALO PUB" Was Treat for ALL,...
Read moreThis place used to be outstanding! Lots of flavors of rich, farm-fresh home-style ice cream with a huge variety of toppings, including many traditional favorites. Now it's seems like they're going out of business or something. There's NO soft-serve or twists of any kind, many basic ice cream flavors are missing with no explanation and "no idea" if or when they'll be replenished. Don't come here looking for hot fudge, pineapple or other Ice Cream parlor mainstays because you will be disappointed. The cupboard is bare here, kids. They do have a couple of unpopular flavors that you can have with a big fat side of go-screw-yourself. I dunno, I guess try your luck at their location in Princeton? Or just hit up a different local ice cream shop. if you're in the Hamilton, Robbinsville, Allentown area I'd suggest: Heavenly Havens in Allentown, TK's in Cream Ridge, Carvel locations in Yardville or on Rt 33 in Hamilton, the Dairy Queen on rt. 130 on Hightstown, or take a little ride out to Tootie's Homemade Ice Cream in New Egypt...

It's been awhile since I visited so not sure if shrinkflation has hit their scoops but really disappointed. There's plenty of other options nearby to put up with that. Will get my ice cream elsewhere.
Leaving my review at 3 stars instead of 5 because the ice cream itself is delicious but for the amount you get, it isn't worth the higher price tag.
Review from 2018 One of the best ice cream shops in the area. Open all year round. Consistent flavors so you always know what you can get when you arrive. I go at least a few times a month and am never disappointed. The quality of their ice cream is great. My favorites are mango and raspberry. Their scoops are consistent and their staff is friendly. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity...
