Saturday 7/27/2025, we had dinner in Ewing and then decided to go to Halo Pub in Hamilton for Ice Cream for dessert. Wow has this place changed for the worst. Service was rude by more than one of the young people working, Ice Cream was GRITTY, Hot fudge was like water. I commented to the first young lady that was serving me and she stated that's how it is, and has always been. NOT TRUE!! She then passed me on to another young man who didn't even acknowledge what I had said and she Rudely walked away, as if not interested in my concern. My wife and I then sat down to eat what we had bought (soon to be asked by another worker to pay, which we already had done) and the disappointment continued. Too much Gritty Ice Cream in the cup, leaving not much room for the watered down Fudge. The whole time my wife and I not discussing the experience (me because I drove her 1/2 hour from home for Ice Cream, and her (well I don't know). So tonight (Sunday) I said what a horrible experience last night, and she didn't hesitate to agree. Both of us living in the area our entire lives (and now 62). Please know, There WAS A TIME "HALO PUB" Was Treat for ALL,...

This place used to be outstanding! Lots of flavors of rich, farm-fresh home-style ice cream with a huge variety of toppings, including many traditional favorites. Now it's seems like they're going out of business or something. There's NO soft-serve or twists of any kind, many basic ice cream flavors are missing with no explanation and "no idea" if or when they'll be replenished. Don't come here looking for hot fudge, pineapple or other Ice Cream parlor mainstays because you will be disappointed. The cupboard is bare here, kids. They do have a couple of unpopular flavors that you can have with a big fat side of go-screw-yourself. I dunno, I guess try your luck at their location in Princeton? Or just hit up a different local ice cream shop. if you're in the Hamilton, Robbinsville, Allentown area I'd suggest: Heavenly Havens in Allentown, TK's in Cream Ridge, Carvel locations in Yardville or on Rt 33 in Hamilton, the Dairy Queen on rt. 130 on Hightstown, or take a little ride out to Tootie's Homemade Ice Cream in New Egypt...

UPDATE 03/13/2023 Man I don't know what happened but I just got the saddest 2 scoops of ice cream ever. They were so small. It's been awhile since I visited so not sure if shrinkflation has hit their scoops but really disappointed. There's plenty of other options nearby to put up with that. Will get my ice cream elsewhere.

Leaving my review at 3 stars instead of 5 because the ice cream itself is delicious but for the amount you get, it isn't worth the higher price tag.

Review from 2018 One of the best ice cream shops in the area. Open all year round. Consistent flavors so you always know what you can get when you arrive. I go at least a few times a month and am never disappointed. The quality of their ice cream is great. My favorites are mango and raspberry. Their scoops are consistent and their staff is friendly. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity...

Edit: I honestly don't really care that sometimes the service isn't great (usually it is, and everyone is courteous and quick) because they make the best vanilla ice cream in the world. And the cows. I come for the cows. Original 1-star review: "Midday on a Thursday: - Could not make expresso, or even hot coffee. (the person who could make expresso "might be back in ten minutes") - No iced coffee or cold brew available. What??? I've loved the Princeton location for years but this place must be run by a jerk. "Expresso" is in the name, what a joke."

Rustic ice cream shop with all wooden fixtures and worn down tables/chairs to complete the “pub” atmosphere. Surprisingly large sitting area! Ice cream flavors and selection are great.. the peanut paradise was creamy with big chunks of PB cookie dough, loved it. Great coffee but only flavor shots available, and no skim milk. Very nice and helpful wait staff. Needs a little music or something playing in the background on a slow, rainy day... too quiet! Much more roomy and manageable than the Princeton shop. I’ll stop in again when I’m in town!

The ice cream is rich and creamy and tastes devine and decadent. The place was crowded full of a group that I believe was sampling the ice cream before they ordered. I was afraid we would have to wait a long time, but I believe the service was organized to keep groups together so we did not have to wait long to order.
