I came in today with my two little girls and husband . Once we were seated drink orders were already in I kindly asked the waitress if we can get some crowns for the kids. She snaps at me and says I'm working on it throws her hands up and walks away. Never returned with crowns once we were served our food I received very cold sausage links My old man's food was not cooked all the way through still cold I asked her kindly if I could actually get warm food. That takes another 10 minutes. She returns and then throws the receipt on our table and walks away. Never did a call back to see how food was. Proceeds to argue with another waitress in the middle of the dining room. Then when my husband goes to pay out our order so we can leave she kept denying his card. Because he didn't want to tip her anymore than what he had already put on. We then change to cash and she scoffs at him. She stared us both down from the kitchen area while we sat with our children. Felt very uneased this was not a very pleasant experience I've never had such an rude server she was an older woman with like gray hair barely pulled back and I've worked in food for 10 years.you working customer service you should be kind to your customers. That's how you get a bigger tip I could have been understanding if you would have told us hey you're out of crowns. Another waitress with glasses and light blonde hair makes a smart remark towards my children while they're just sitting there playing with paper at the table waiting patiently for their food they're not screaming they're not yelling they weren't running around the restaurant My children are very well behaved especially when we're out in public. If you don't like your job don't take it out on people that are trying to come in and enjoy their experience and sadly this is not what I saw today and I will not...
Read moreOn Mothers day morning we stopped at a competitor and like nearly all places (of course) the wait was more than an hour for 2 and everyone was stressed, grumpy, rushed and rude. I told my boyfriend, let's go up the road to Frisch's and give it a shot. I have never been so impressed. I've worked in the service industry, I know the "mess" going on behind the scenes but you all literally kept it behind the scenes. Everyone was rushing around like ants to keep customers happy and moving and doing it with a smile. The place was packed but you were making it happen - with no wait! I told several of them as we passed by "Yall are kicking a$$!" Which got a chuckle. I'm sure most of them have families at home they'd rather be with but you couldn't tell. I saw them helping each other and that is unique to how things are these days. Our server Amanda was specifically amazing. I can be hard to please and she didn't make it seem hard at all. She was patient when I had questions (though I'm sure she had other tables and heck maybe hasn't had a bathroom break in hours). I ended up decided to add on a to-go meal and I apologized for taking so long and she was so polite about it. She helped me pick out food for my mom and which meal made the most sense. She stopped by often (somehow) and kept our drinks full making sure to see what else we needed. The actual food was delicious and fresh and the bar stayed full the entire time we were there with people running in and out filling things and being polite and patient to get to the bar the entire time. Read moreI ordered Frischs thru Doordash. I've been a loyal customer for 35 years and also was my parents date night place when they had the drive in and car hops back on late 60s early 70s. I even craved big boys when I was pregnant with my daughter. The last 4 times I have got Frischs, its been very disappointing. And after speaking with my brother, im not the only one feeling this way. I loved frischs signature Cole slaw, and I dont know when they decided to start ordering premade coleslaw from their foodsupplier and its disappointing. My brother loved their homemade vegetable soup. The last time he ordered it, it definitely was from a can and not their homemade vegetable soup. I had the same experience with the soup as well. How they don't realize long time customers would not realize the difference and why they would change 2 of their popular items to below par pre-made substitutes and not see disappointment from us who see Frischs as a part of our lives from way back. If its just to cut corners or save money, I think you'll lose more customers from this than save money because as a loyal big boy platter person....I will never order it again. The Cole slaw is why I did. And I can't see me choosing Frischs when looking for somewhere to eat after our family, birthday, or sports events like we used to.....its just not the same anymore....
