Open area seating, spacious hangar-style space. Went here and got brews and dinner. They do flights and fill growlers. You go up, order, and they bring everything to the table. They also take the empty plates away really quickly. Clean. Friendly staff.
Got a flight. Seltzer reminded me of that Barqs red cream soda. The orange wheat was a gentle beer that you can drink a lot of. My two favorites were the funky fresh sour and the pretzel ale and I got takeaways of both. The funky fresh is a low abv sour with an earthen back and bursting with fruit flavor. Got a growler of this. The pretzel ale is exactly what it sounds like and it is amazing, albeit I'm sure it's a beer you either love or hate. i love. It tastes like you're eating a dark-bread pretzel.
I appreciate that they define which beers have lactose, as I can't drink alot of that without a world of pain. A lot of the beers have lactose.
Food was adequate. Got the cheese bread and a fish sandwich. I liked the cheese bread. The next time I'm here (I'll be back) I'll get pizza. Not that anything was wrong with my fish sandwich, it was cooked alright and came with steak fries. It just wasn't particularly amazing or anything.
Maybe you offer it at times, but I recommend using your ingenuity with the beer in the food. Experiment with using, for instance, the pretzel beer in the fish batter.
All in all, really liked it...
Read moreI've enjoyed beer from Third Eye Brewing Company for years but up until recently that was always just canned beer. With the recent addition of a couple of taprooms in the area, you can easily enjoy their offerings on tap, plus sample some pub food. Be sure to try the Third Eye P.A.
For starters, I highly recommend the house pickle dip with saratoga chips ($9). This is a massive plate of food, enough for a family to share, and the pickle dip is really good! Boneless wings are another solid choice (10 for $14). The Chipotle BBQ is a little spicy but really flavorful.
As far as sandwiches go, the southwest grilled chicken sandwich was great ($14 with fries). It features flame-grilled chicken, chipotle mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, heirloom tomato, and guacamole. That's a lot of really bold flavors mixing together to create a pretty unique and delicious sandwich.
The menu also features salads, pizzas, and burgers, plus a ton more to offer in the appetizer section. There is a lot to offer and I feel something for everyone. Plus with 20 taps, there is something for everyone to...
Read moreFirts time @ a Third Eye. Very spacious, vibrant decor. The food was great!!! Extremely large portions or maybe our eyes were bigger than our stomach. We each ordered a dish but could have shared one!(I'm definitely not complaining. We have lunch for tomorrow). Pretzel Bites as an appetizer to share, Dad had the Grilled Hamburger n fries, Mom had the Mushroom and Swiss with fries, and I ordered the Hummus with the Peanut Butter Bananna Pale Ale, Which was Yummy!!! The only downside is that you have to place your order at the bar prior to seating. The only reason I say this is that my dad(77) is on oxygen and can not stand for more than a few minutes at a time Would be great if they had an option for the Seniors that frequent for dinner to have table side ordering. We all know they are not tech savvy enough to order by...
