Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Hamlet

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely appalled by the lack of employee professionalism. I walked inside cause there was a line of cars in the drive thru...thinking I could get in and get out quickly, but noone was present in FOH. I heard and saw 2 of 3 employees in BOH but noone came to take my order. At this point only 1 car was left in the drive thru and I was the only one waiting to order inside. So I walked out and got in the drive thru thinking they just served all these cars maybe ordering this way will be easier. I was again mistaken...I sat waiting for someone to ask to take my order, but noone ever spoke. Finally I said "hello" and the employee (who was standing at the window) answered...I ordered and she gave me the price. I had cash in hand waiting outside the window and the employee stood at the window but never acknowledged me and just kept talking. Finally I gave up and just drove off. Next time I'll take the time to drive to Rockingham instead. ...

Decided to have lunch here today as i have not eaten here in years. My cousin ordered a meal but asked for onion rings instead of fries. They gave her fries anyway. We parked and attempted to get someone to the door to fix the order but were met with rude glares and shaking heads. She walked around to the window to attempt to get her order corrected. They told her the onion rings were cooking and didnt give her the impression they were willing to correct the order. After standing at the locked door for an additional 3 or 4 mins they finnally brought out some burnt onion rings for her. On my order I asked for no mayo or pickles on my burger and there was an unusual amount of each. I didn't realize until we had pulled away and didnt have time to turn around. Do not recommend eating here. They do not want to serve anything but ice cream. Why...

I really had a bad experience this last visit at this Dairy Queen. The only reason I gave 3 stars & not 1 is because the manager that was on duty. He was really trying his best to make sure everyone was taken care of. Besides that, everything was a mess!! They were out of a few food items, didn't get orders right, forgot drinks, forgot ice cream, had to wait 10+ mins for a shake, had to ask for utensils. Just one thing after another. Now I know the restaurant had NO control over this but to add to the customers frustration, there was a child that came in running all over the place, yelling, dumping ice out of the machine ALL over the floor, going behind the counter, standing on the counter, hiding in cabinets. On top of that her "grown up" did absolutely nothing to keep her, let's...
