We went to the La Cabana Hamlet restaurant on Friday October 8th about 8:15. We walked in the door next to the bar. The hostess seated us right away without speaking. She plopped down two menus and walked away still without speaking. About 5 minutes later a person brought chips and salsa without any water to drink to our table. They didnât speak either, yet they both spoke English as I heard them speaking to others. We sat there for 20 minutes visiting between ourselves when I finally walked over to the hostess and asked if we were going to be waited on, because 20 minutes was ridiculous. Her excuse was that they were âvery busy.â I looked around and spotted at least 4 empty tables nearby. Weâve been there before when itâs Standing room only and had much better service. Ten minutes later, a frazzled waiter took our order and brought our drinks. Another 20 minutes went by and the waiter came back without food and said, âYou good?â We looked at each in shock bc he immediately walked off b4 we could ask where our food was. After 10 more minutes, we laid money on the table to cover our drinks and walked out. No service, no explanations, weâre out. One hour after being seated here we left. Weâve attempted to eat at this âcabinâ one too many...
Read moreHighly disappointed in this restaurant. Not a super authentic Mexican restaurant. The portions are small compared to other restaurants of this nature and prices are way over priced for what you receive. I had ordered Flautas & Campechanas . I was given a soggy taco basically, which is NOT what I wanted. They are supposed to be crispy because a flauta is fried ( it is NOT taquitos, like the ones you see in the frozen aisle, it is not a real thing in hispanic culture, taquitos refer to small tacos, which are not crispy). Anyway, the chicken inside these âFlautasâ were decently flavored. They had given me 1/4 cup of rice (had no flavor unfortunately) and 1/4 cup of refried beans ( Iâm not a fan of having cheese on top but in some areas of Mexico and some other hispanic regions, they do put cheese on top), they were extremely skimpy on the sides. Campechanas were okay, they were lacking cilantro, which ties this meal together perfectly. The meat needed to be cooked a little more to have a âcrispierâ meat, the sides (rice and beans) for this meal was decently proportioned. The chips were over cooked and lacking flavor, and the salsa was decent. These 2 meals came to $30.80, highway robbery for subpar food. I have 2 stars for the...
Read moreExtremely disappointing. My entire party of five had their orders completely wrong, and the staff failed to address the issue promptly. The execution of the dishes was poor, and they seemed incapable of preparing food as described on the menu.
The most concerning part was with my cheese enchilada. When I opened it, the cheese inside was cold and unmelted. I sent it back, expecting a fresh replacement, but instead, they brought out the exact same plateâalready cut open and tampered withâafter simply microwaving it. Reusing the same plate in this manner raises serious health and safety concerns and is completely UNACCEPTABLE.
To make matters worse, the serverâs attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. They didnât take the situation seriously or handle it in a respectful manner, leaving us feeling frustrated and ignored.
This experience was unacceptable on every level, and I would strongly recommend...
