I took my niece here for her birthday. The first issue is we ordered chicken tenders/fries and bourbon chicken and shrimp. Her fries were not good, they were over cooked and she barely ate any of them. The bourbon chicken was seasoned really well but the shrimp tasted like rubber, I couldn't even eat the potatoes that came with it as well, they were over cooked, not seasoned and everything including the chicken (even though it was good) tasted like the black pot/pan dish it was served on.
Since I did eat the chicken I decided not to complain and to just get a burger to go for later. When I got the burger home later it was way over cooked, it was dry, the bread was dry and the edges of the bread were burnt and once again the fries that came with it were way over cooked. I honestly didn't even eat it.
Our waitress was never around, we received one refill the entire time we were there, when she brought us our food I asked for a refill and we ended up finishing our meal (what we could eat of it) before she ever even made it back with a refill. All though the place wasn't even busy.
When I got the ticket/total it was $40 because my niece was playing on the tablets they have on the table and apparently ordered a game for $1.99 by accident. Why let children access something like that to begin with? They don't understand they are being charged. I didn't know that the tip would be added in at the end as well, so I left a $10 bill on the table as a tip, then I was still charged another $7 for the tip on my credit card. So I basically left a $17 dollar tip for a $40 meal, of which we could only eat half of the food from because it was so awful.
We were really disappointed with the entire experience. To sum it up we couldn't eat half of the food we received, the server was never around, I got charged for a game that my niece ordered by accident, we were seated behind a really annoying teenage boy who kept making noise/yelling randomly (not applebees fault) but it made the already bad experience even worse, then to finish it all off I paid a $17 tip for a server I saw twice the entire hour we were there.
My niece isn't a brat so she didn't say anything but I could tell she was getting disappointed at the noise behind us. At the fact she never had a drink again after the first one and that she couldn't even eat half of her food. I could tell she was disappointed by the entire situation-on her birthday which made...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been in the restaurant industry for 30 plus years. So believe me, I know what Iām talking about when I say this. This Applebeeās location is quite possibly this is the worst restaurant Iāve ever encountered. To be fair, I normally wouldnāt eat at a chain restaurant but I was on the road, it was late and this was the option in front of me. Right out of the gate the lack of management and care was obvious. I sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence, keep at mind, it wasnāt busy. All the while Iām staring at 3 servers and a bartender talking and pretending work while I sit waiting to order food to-go and a drink. Finally, the manger waves at me and states Iām coming. WHAT???? The manger has to wait on me while these future failures of America employees stand around. It gets even betterā¦ā¦ after I finally get my order I reluctantly leave a tip for the manager who served me, then out of nowhere, the bartender miraculously gains her vision! Was I witnessing a miracle right here in Applebees? Are the lame going to get up and walk also? She approaches me and has the nerve to ask if the tip is for her. Iām like WHAT, wait WHAT! You havenāt done anything but stand around and look dense. Iām not even going to go into how dirty this place was from the sticky bar top to the horrific restroom. Letās just say, I wouldnāt want to see the kitchen. But judging from the stomach issues I encountered after my visit, Iām going to go out on a limb and bet that just about every food safety practice involving cleanliness is being ignored and overlooked. Hereās the best advice that you will ever receive!!!! SHUT THE PLACE DOWN AND SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF OF A SLOW...
Read moreWe ate here on Sunday, 4/13⦠it was not busy! We were seated immediately but the seating hostess barely even said hello.
Once we were seated, we were left waiting for probably 20 min before a member of our party finally flagged a waiter down and asked who our waiter or waitress was supposed to beā¦
He was just as confused but agreed to take care of us, and took our drink orders.
Drinks finally came and we started the waiting game again, to order our appetizer and foodā¦
He brought out my food and my sons (a kids pizza) at LEAST 15 min before bringing out the food for the others in our party, and, we had no silverware so I couldnāt eat if Iād wanted to right thenā¦
Again a member from our party had to go find someone and ask for silverware.
Finally all food was brought out and we could all start to eat, by this time we needed refills.
Sweet tea was out and that would be about a 10 min wait he said⦠so we changed our drinks to sodas so we could just hurry and finish and leave!
After paying, we went looking for our waiter to give him a cash tip and asked two ladies if they knew where he was and we were ignored by both of them.
We found him and gave him his tip but absolutely will not be back here nor will we recommend to anyone!
Find somewhere...
