Firehouse Subs Channell — Restaurant in Hammond

The sandwiches here are better than most sandwich places around here. The store cleanliness and the customers are pretty decent as well.

However... Just be sure to tell EVERY single person behind the counter what NOT to have on your sandwich unless you want issues(like pickles, white bread, or mayonnaise). A worker there had a bit of an attitude as if I'm wasting their precious time about me pointing out something that was said beforehand to the young lady at the register. Only to drive all the way back to point it out. No refund, remake, or any type of thing for the error. They sure didn't have an issue making it accurately after paying FULL price for it again, though...

Out of all the Firehouse Subs I've been to in Louisiana. This particular one is not really up there as far as the best... Mini Rant...

Not at all as great as it was. I dined in and watched as customers came in. You were once greeted with "Welcome to Firehouse Subs", but not anymore. The workers don't seem happy to be there and that makes the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. The sandwiches are ok, but no longer great, something was definitely different because it was just not as good as it once was. The New York steamer has been my favorite from the beginning and that's what kept me going back, but after this last time, I can take it or leave it. Maybe the owner needs to clean house and find a few better employees who can bring a little sunshine to the customers. Too much of a doom and gloom kind of vibe. I love Firehouse ❤️. But this location is the least and I've gone on north and south shores. The staff act like they don't want to be there. We weren't greeted, no one came to register to take our order for about 5-10 minutes. (Wish I was exaggerating).... but because we love the sandwiches 🥪, we waited. When I got home these were the skimpiest sandwiches I've ever had. No other location serves like this. Not sure if they just didn't order enough or they were told to make it that way. I was extremely disappointed because you pay for a full sandwich. I will drive far away to the next location before I go to this one. I moved close to this one and I miss my old one.
