My husband went in for us. He had me text him what I wanted. I texted him my request, "Sausage biscuit. 1 grape jelly. knife. Lg. decaf coffee. 4 creamers. Stir stick."
He returned to the car a few minutes later, and he said the young man took a long time getting a hashbrown; he didn't think the young man did it deliberately, he just took "forever.".
He just now added one of the workers walked by and her facial expression and demeanor made him think she didn't want to help him. He said he was about to leave when a younger woman stepped up and asked how she could help him, and then she explained they were waiting a moment on his hashbrown, for which he thanked her.
Upon checking my coffee, I'd forgotten the preparer would put the creamer in, which helped as I was adding my own stevia in the car. I asked if the cashier gave him a stir stick. He said he didn't see one, so he grabbed a straw. The negative however, was the cup was so full, in picking it up to taste it, I splashed it picking it up and putting it back in the cup holder and had a mess to clean up.
Then I grabbed my sausage biscuit, one of three jellies, and another straw. I asked about the knife, and he didn't see one of those, either. I have not liked the sausage for a long time; I preferred the old sausage recipe much better. The biscuit was really soft and tender at this store and not hard and dry like at other stores....
Read moreI sympathize with fast food workers. The food service industry is brutal. However, I do not sympathize with workers who endanger their customers because they are feeling some type of way.
We received our drive thru order after a 20 minute wait in the line. The woman (young girl more accurately) threw the bag into my boyfriend's hand and said, "have a blessed day" in a tone we all know as insincere, before slamming the window shut. We looked into our bag and found our nuggets all over the bag, fries everywhere, a nugget box was closed and empty, the burger was halfway on a box and another box..
Paper bages are not sanitary. I do not appreciate being served food that I know isn't clean.
We took the food home, decided to make the best of a horrible interaction. Upon our arrival, we emptied the contents onto our countertop and put the food back in proper packaging. All of the nuggets were burnt and covered in obviously old oil. The fries were cold, even the ones that stayed in their proper containers.
This was an atrocious experience. Find another McDonald's. This one was...
Read moreI have been working less than a mile from this McDonald's for 5yrs. And when I do have a craving for a bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle, I usually stop somewhere else, because the workers at this location sincerely, absolutely and aggressively dislike ALL customers. At least they definitely dislike me for whatever unknown reason. I always say please and thank you but that just doesn't help. Of course with that, since they hate me the 3 times I've been here the food was also terrible. All 3 times in 5yrs at least a year apart I always get trash for my hard earned money. 3 strikes and your out. It should be 0 stars. The workers make this location bad. My best advice is go anywhere else. Racetrack is better. Update: Racetrack across the street is NOT better. This McDonald's is losing money. The best thing they can do for the community is close. Racism is a big part of the people that work here, and they will show you if you are stupid enough to stop at this McDonald's on hwy 190 in Hammond LA. They charge the highest prices as well. Your better off starving. DO...
