We've been to this place twice and was very disappointed with my pizza both times. I thought on our first visit maybe it was a fluke, as all the other reviews give it such high marks, so we gave a second try. It's not the location or the atmosphere or even the service....it's how they burn all the pizzas. Look at my pictures. There were ample toppings, and those were great, that gave them one star. The fact that they have a very clean place and a dog friendly patio earns them a second star. But my pizza tasted like soot. The fact that it's the crust that burns- that makes the whole pizza taste like charcoal. Not sure why both mine and my wife's pizzas were burned both times, but that tells me it's a regular occurrence, not just a one off chance. If burned pizza crust is your thing, then this is the place for you. *****In response to the owners reply***** He indicates this is typical wood fired oven char....if thats the case then all of the other restaurants I've had pizza at that cook theirs in the same manner must be doing it totally wrong. LIT pizza might be just fast food, but they use a wood fired oven too. MY pizza NEVER tastes like charcoal from Lit. There's no reason for pizza to taste and look burned...and no excuse to say that's how it should be.

Since Google is likely the first thing people will see, I am adding photos of menu from their Facebook page. The prices are obnoxiously higher in some places as opposed to the menu posted from a month ago, and even more from the menu websites. It has been almost a year since we last ordered, and the pizzas have changed for the worse. They use novelty sized meats, so be prepared for it to all come off in one bite unless your teeth work like a paper cutter. We ordered the Ferris Bueller and they did not bother to chop any of the meats, instead just threw whole slices on there, which make for a terrible eating experience. Not sure why they changed this up because other pictures show chopped pieces of meat. And I do not know why, but the pizza was watery. Not oily, watery. We also ordered original Buffalo wings, which were cooked to crisp perfection. The sauce, however, was luckily but on the side because it is heavily cut with vinegar and looked as watered down as the Ferris Bueller. Edit: Owner is quick to give a laundry list of excuses for opinionated qualms, but can't explain price discrepancies. I like how being lazy is an excuse for authenticity. 10/10 will not go again now.

Pizza is not good at all! Literally only one pepperoni on each pizza with 4 pieces of sausages. I know we are in a supply shortage but I doubt that is the reason they could be charging 50 dollars for two Pizzas like this. Waste of money. Won't be back. Don't understand the high reviews at all. Since they replied: 1. I didn't need to take a picture of the whole pizza you see one pepperoni right on these two slices i posted. 2. The wings were just okay nothing special. 3. You seem very passive aggressive work on making sure every pizza has a quantity amount of ingredients so maybe you should talk to your employees. You know how high proce your pizzas are make it a priority. 4. My bf chicken pizza was the same with Hardly anything on it. We ate two pizzas each and threw the rest away. Nice service in the place but thats it.

Thanks for the reply. Considering that 2% is average amount of salt for most any bread dough and especially pizza, I feel you're well under what I would use. I would probably play with around 1.5% but that's just me. I don't use volume measurements in my work for breads and meat processing and honestly rely on standard formulas and ratios but hey, I'm only here as a happy fan and look forward to more of your pizza. Good to communicate with you guys and I appreciate that you respond to reviews and connect with your clientele.

Should be 3.8 ⭐ and this review will change over time as all of mine do. First, pizzas are adorned with excellent ingredients from the two I tried and no reason to think every pizza wouldn't be equally built with similarly fine ingredients. We start with best products and we can make best food. Fact. The combinations of ingredients make sense and are appropriate even considering the other items I read on the menu that I did not order this time. The dough is light and the oven does a fine job of showing puffs and darker spots randomly as I expect from an inspired pizza product produced by knowledgeable cooks. My #1 concern and my #1 reason for leaving this review is a very simple fix but as simple as it is, it cannot be fixed at the table by guests. I expect that it was a one-time experience and I'll certainly be back soon. This was our first order ever and want badly to make this a twice weekly or more meal option. Here's the concern and suggestion that hangs my desire to return: Please make sure there is appropriate salt in the dough. Salt is a most essential addition in all food and can have drastic affect across the board. Great cooks know this and why I feel my experience was a one-off. Breads and doughs need the right salt to be best and in this case I imagine there was none at all included. Pizza was purchased Friday (yesterday)... just so we know when it occurred. Please check salt in the dough itself, friends at Pour House Pizza. My review is intended as 100% constructive, I wish no harm whatsoever and I only mean to share what I feel with lifelong experience and education in professional food and cooking. Thank you for reading and looking forward to another order this week for sure. Best of luck to you and your restaurant in Hammond and with my living so close, I hope for many more meals in the future. Keep up the...
