They have literally given stale food, it was foul smelling and sour to taste. My brother had ordered for one serving of veg momo and one serving of chicken momo last night. If they didn’t have enough time to prepare they shouldn’t have taken the order in the first place, but I guess they thought they can manage and they accepted to take the order. After my brother brought the take out home and I ate one momo it was all sour(which was weird because they never taste like that), soon after my brother started sensing some foul smell, then we checked the chicken momo were literally rotten, then we checked for the veg momo they smelled ok but they weren’t pan fried they were “pan burnt!!”. I could actually scrape the burnt part of pan from the bottom of my momo. If the restaurant was open I would have returned them the whole order. Instead I’ve called them today to check how can they give me such food, the one attending the phone went to check with the kitchen, after a while she came back and all she can tell was sorry and telling me there was nothing wrong for their end. I asked for a replacement for the same or a refund, she denied as it was no longer their policy and all she can offer was a sorry. I’ve seen many Indian restaurants serving food which was close to Indian, though they were never same to the original one’s, I was ok that they at least tried their best. But what this restaurant has done is worse among all the ones I’ve ever seen. I personally feel that no one should be paying for stale or burnt food.

I first noticed this restaurant at the grand opening of the Soltan Bazar supermarket next door. At the time DurBar was still doing its final furnishing. I kind of forgot about it. Today I passed by it while running an errand and decided to order one of my favorite Indian dishes, Chicken 65, which I've had it numerous times in Edison, NJ. I called in for the order, $10.99 plus tax. It took about 20 minutes. The dish didn't come with rice, so I had to make my own. I also added some Chinese cabbage while the rice was being cooked. The container for the dish was quite small, but it can actually make 3 servings. The visuals and the taste were on point. The pieces of the protein was slightly larger than the Chicken 65 I'm used to, but that's actually a good thing. The only thing that was off was the texture of the chicken. For some reason, the protein felt a bit powdery on the bite. Too much tenderizer? No idea. Over all, not as good as my other Chicken 65 experience from NJ but it's good enough to satisfy my craving. They do have daily lunch buffet except Monday for $12.99. I want to give it a try one of these days.

Feb 8 23: even better! Dal makhini with great taste and texture, yummy bindi masala with rich gravy, moist and delicious tandoori chicken, and a tasty goat dum biryani. Had some meat, not tons but enough. The Andrah chicken curry had the best taste. Chai for perfect ending. End of Dec 2022: Lunch buffet was $12.99 and starts 11:00am, with a slow roll until all options are out. Service is with a smile and accommodating. Large space, clean, organized and low playing music makes conversation easy. The buffet is a very good deal in today's economy. Some drinks, couple desserts, beautiful samosa chaat, curries, fried fish, biryanis, brinjal, dal, rice, naan, etc. I could not even try everything though I wanted. The cooking is well done, the meats are moist, well cooked and generously portioned. The flavors are good yet subtle if you are used to more like South Indian. This is wonderfully done Nepalese for sure. I long for more spice because I am used to more flavours yet the food has home made taste and feel, so 5 stars. A delightful place, I will return with my mother for sure.

When I ordered lunch from this restaurant, I was having a pretty bad day. Upon getting back to my office to eat it after picking it up, I picked up the bag, only for it to spill all of my food, drenched in green mint sauce, onto the parking lot. Luckily, the food was wrapped, so it was all still edible. However, this experience instantly ruined my day and made me lose my appetite entirely. I picked up drenched food containers with my already-soaked hands, and carried them into the building, and wrote a pretty scathing 1-star review. I ate the samosas I had ordered, which were pretty average (and given how frustrated I was, were likely probably above average in reality), and didn't have the appetite to eat the Chicken Tikka Masala after the incident, so I wrapped it up in a bag and saved it for later.

After an especially long day of work, I came home and reheated the Chicken Tikka Masala. For context, I LOVE Indian food and have eaten at almost all of the restaurants in the area. Let me tell you, this curry was life-changing. There were diced veggies in the curry, something I almost never see done faithfully in this area. It was so good that it made me come back here and rewrite my review changing it from 1 star to 4 star.

So, overall, I would recommend you eat here, but please make sure your food is packaged securely. Making sure the lid on the condiment travel cups is sealed might ruin your experience of what I assume to be a pretty phenomenal Indian restaurant. I will likely eventually change my rating to 5 star once I've had a chance to eat...
