Food- Best Babagannouge! Falafel and garlic aioli were superb. Hummus, tabouleh, salad was okay. Pickled veggies were too salty just add a bit of sugar and it would be perfect. Chicken was small portion, sauce is okay. I had Shawarma plenty of times, so I think something was missed with the marinate, or it needs to be grilled better. I would not dice the chicken too small, or else the meat becomes too dry if not freshly cooked from the grill. Beef wrap was okay, it's missing onions. Lebanese flatbread wraps are similar, so I'm used to it being loaded. I would recommend giving any dips something to dip it with, even carrot sticks or cucumbers, I didn't know what else to use except to put it in our hot meals. The imported sodas were delicious, do get pomegranate/strawberry.
Service was beyond 5+. I think we spoke to the manager, who let us try samples of their appetizers since we have never been there. Very hospitable and took pride in their food.
Atmosphere - I can tell it was something before (maybea pizza shop), and nothing much changed. The name does let me know it's simple and quick like mall food vendors, but I think they should redo and make it into a bistro. Dim the lights, make it look Mediterranean, and deli display the case of their desserts and sides/salad/appetizers. The visual of a large pile of tabouleh is stunning.
Overall, DO come for...
Read moreOne star experience. I’m giving you 4 because you are a new restaurant and deserve to learn from your mistakes.
Food is amazing. The first time I was there I had the best experience. So I decided to come back. I live 30 minutes away but came back because I wanted to support your business.
So when I showed up 30 minutes before closing and you had NO FOOD this upset me but I was going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. So I asked “hey I drove 30 minutes to be here can you recommend something nearby” instead you told me I “could go wherever”. I even gave you a third chance to recommend somewhere else...and you launched into a tirade about what I as the customer did wrong as if I should know not to show up 30 minutes before closing.
Listen man I know your job is hard. The restaurant business is murder but how you respond to situations like this means life and death for your restaurant.
I know you love your family and want to see them but pause and think next time. Pause. The power of the pause would have let you de-escalate a situation and keep a customer that sung your praises to everyone he met about your restaurant and then drive 1 hour round trip to be there.
I don’t expect you to be perfect, but this was a hard learned lesson that I hope you...
Read moreI took out the beef shawarma sandwich. My family and I wanted to eat out on a Saturday. We were looking for Halal food. But, as we entered the place they were cleaning, all chairs were up. We were shocked. It was 3pm during business hour on a weekend. Their closing hour is 8pm. Whey were they cleaning in the middle of the day? Don't they want any customer? All the chairs were up, no seating opportunity. I had to wait outside because of the strong cleaning smell. It made me sick, just as I stood to order food. I was planning not to go back inside. But my conscious took me back as they already started to make my food. Just as I had strong hunch, the sandwich was the most horrible sandwich I ate in my life. The pita bread bread tasted exactly like rubber. Meat pieces have nasty taste. After two bites I had to throw it to the garbage. I have never given a bad review to anyone in my life. I am a God fearing person. This is just wayyyy too much. But this time I had to do it. For the sake of humanity, how do you run business like this? How did you get 4.8 stars? How is it possible? I still pray that God give you good sense and that you can serve customer well. And that your food will be whole some,...
