Checked out this hidden gem for the first time. It was a pleasant visit. I got to learn about the mission behind the company, which they empower and employ neurodivergent individuals with disabilities. I appreciate coffee shops who serve a purpose like this. As for the food & coffee, my husband ordered an iced coffee with a double shot of espresso (aka as a red eye). However, the person who took the order didnāt understand what that was and asked the barista. Somehow, they charge you extra per shot instead of a combined shot. This ended up charging me $6.25 ($5 for the iced coffee plus $1.25 per shot of espresso). Normally at coffee shops, they have it fixed into the price so youāre not charged a la carte, which adds up to a lot. My husband says that it should be a normal thing on the menu but apparently most coffee shops in Central PA donāt include that. I ordered a regular hot coffee to be on the safe side. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches. He got his on a croissant and I got mine on an English muffin.
The sandwiches were very good. The breads were of good quality and looked homemade (they have their baked goods delivered everyday). My coffee was sadly lukewarm. However, when I asked the barista if she could heat it up, she just offered to make me a new drink. Instead, they gave me an Americano and let me keep the coffee. Overall, Iād say this place is promising and offers value and a positive experience for their customers so that they come back. And we will, indeed, return to try other items...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the Nour Coffee Shop for the first time today, and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff members are incredibly kind and are visibly enjoying their time at work.
I got an Iced Matcha Latte with toasted marshmallow syrup, and a ham and cheese sandwich. Everything came out very quickly and my name was announced with the drink/food order to come grab it. I also got a cold brew thatās pre-packaged to take home for my boyfriend, really convenient!
As I was eating at my table, a staff member came to check on me while I ate, which I really appreciated. The environment in this cafe is very comfortable, you can feel the positivity from all the staff. You can also hear the managers are very supporting and caring about their staff members, which really made a good impression on me.
On top of everything, when I left, the kind person who took my order made sure to say goodbye to me with my name! It was a very nice gesture and made for a very memorable,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the exact coffee shop our community needed! I have a 13 year old autistic son who is non-verbal and a type 1 diabetic, so the fact that this coffee shop values special needs people and sees the true potential in them and gives them a place to work and to shine, makes my heart and soul burst with happiness and pride! I have been there multiple times, each time I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome! You do not feel like a stranger, you feel like a friend stopping by to grab a coffee and chat, that makes it so special! I highly recommend the sticky buns and their cold brew is divine! Also the sticky bun latte is decadent! Nour is honestly a ray of sunshine is this community that I think we all needed! I look forward to many years of smiles and delicious goods from the most amazing people working there! See you on Monday...
