I delivered for Dominos for about two years back in the early 2000s, and I simply can't believe the service and quality have declined to these levels since that time. I ordered a pizza and wings last night and watched the progress of the order online until it got to the "quality check" (which basically means boxing, then cutting, then placing it on a rack to be picked up by a driver). It remained in this stage for 35 minutes. I called the store, the guy who answered said the delay was because he "had to run my chicken through the oven three times to make sure it doesn't have salmonella..." Mmm... I'm hungry now! He said this in a tone as though I should be thankful for his time. I complained a bit and he told me the driver had just arrived (a far more likely reason), that my order would be delivered "soon," and that he'd throw in a Coke. Nice gesture. After getting off the phone and I waited another 15 minutes. Nothing. I called back and the same guy answered. I told him the pizza is still not showing as having been checked out by a driver. He told me it was "out for delivery" and then explained that it doesn't show on my computer because the "rain was messing with the GPS." (Apparently this fellow doesn't know how the pizzas are officially "checked out" as the driver selects them on the computer screen... not GPS. It's pizza delivery.. not Star Trek). Anyway, ten more minutes, no pizza. So I called him for a third time and told him we'd just cancel the order. My reasoning: the pizza was now an hour old, and my now triple-baked, salmonella-free chicken probably looked like pigeon wings at this point. He simply said "Ok" and that was that. Of course, five minutes after I placed an order from a local pizzeria, Dominos arrived. I went to the door and the driver was standing there with only the pizza box and the chicken wing box, both wet from the rain. No heat bag (which IS standard Dominos protocol), and no Coke. I opened the door and he just stood there. No greeting, no apology, no explanation... He didn't even give me the total. I told him I'd just canceled the order because the pizza was an hour old, likely no longer hot, and getting colder by the minute considering how he was presenting it to me. I have to admit, I took pleasure in declining the order. I know reviews like this probably do not make much difference these days, but several weeks ago during the one and only previous order I placed at this fairly new location (a carry out), I spoke to the owner. She seems really nice... personable and hard working for sure. I guess my hope is that for her own sake maybe she will see this. Customer care is not a thing of the past. Not to me anyway. And with such poor service from her employees, I'll just stick with local places from now on (there are no less than ten within a two-mile radius...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe typically enjoy Domino's but recently they have changed their staff. Now they have a new group who do not seem to be able to get orders right. When I was picking up my order tonight, I waited for 10 minutes while the woman at the pick up counter was on the phone apologizing to a customer for their order being wrong. She never looked me in the eye or even acknowledged me. There were two other workers by the ovens who seemed confused and frustrated about something. Finally after about 10 minutes, the girl by the oven noticed that I was still standing there and the other woman hadn't addressed me, so she came over to me and asked what I needed. She grabbed my order and I paid, but she didn't have my 11 cents change.. not sure what that was all about - maybe their cash register was not properly stocked with coins and they'd have to go to a safe to get more rolls. I told her not to worry about it and left with my order. So finally I got home and my order was wrong too! I ordered two medium pizzas with pepperoni and shredded parmesan asiago, but instead I got one pizza with half pepperoni and only regular cheese on it, my second pizza had all pepperoni, but also did not have any shredded asiago parmesan, but regular cheese. The order was pretty simple - not sure how they got it wrong. I will say that their pizza has improved since their "relaunch" a couple years back. I'm sure this new crew will eventually learn the ropes and improve on the old one. I'll never forget the day my wife came in to order a pizza with half green peppers and they guy asked her which half she wanted it on... ??? She said...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a very patient and understanding person when it comes to the food service (since I have worked at a fast food restaurant and a pizza shop). I have ordered from here a few times and have been disappointed every time! The food is always cold, the manager Kharram is rude, sometimes the delivery drivers are also rude, the food takes forever, and has been wrong several times. Since I haven't ordered here in over a year I decided to try ordering from here again-worst decision ever. I waited for an hour for my order (medium cheese pizza with plain boneless wings) to be sent out for delivery. I waited a half hour for the delivery (I only live 10 minutes away from the place), and it still wasn't here so I called. The store manager Kharram was rude and didn't even answer the phone correctly, but just picked it up and said hi, not introducing himself nor the store. I told him that my delivery was not here and I thought it should be, and I told him that my tracker said it was delivered but I never received a call nor my order. He bluntly said "yeah the trackers broken its on the way" and hung up on me! So I waited another half hour while my tracker continued to say "mm it's there- we hope your enjoying your pizza" (Like no i'm not actually!!) Anyways the order finally got here a half hour after the call- it was cold and the circle pizza was cut into rectangles..?? I tipped the delivery driver James since he was being a happy positive guy, but I 100% think this Kharram guy needs to be FIRED!!...
