Josh's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hampton

Stopped for Lunch on 9/2/2022 waitress so busy and rude it took 1/2 hour to just get drinks never even took our food order. After she dropped off our drinks she never even asked if we were ready to order she just set our drinks down then kept ignoring us. So finally we had enough of her ignoring us I had to go to bar to even talk to her. She sees me standing there doesn’t say one word to me just keeps making everyone’s drink wiping down the tops of the coolers talking to the other customers giving them their checks then cashing them out. This whole time I am standing there said excuse me a couple times just for her to completely disregard the fact I am there. Finally she gets close enough to me that I say “Can you just take my order?” She replies “Yeah let me catchup on these drinks first.” I was just blown away by her statement because it wasn’t new peoples drinks she had to catch up on it was 2nd 3rd round drinks. So basically if you aren’t a regular don’t go there unless you want to sit there and be ignored while waiting 30 minutes for her to talk to you and get you your drinks and make sure your not hungry because you will never get your...

As a Black man, I’ve been to plenty of bars and grills over the years, but this one truly stands out. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed — not just as a customer, but as a person. The staff treated me with warmth, respect, and real conversation, which goes a long way in making a place feel like home.

The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, with a great mix of music and friendly faces from all walks of life. The food? Absolutely on point — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and served hot. I could tell they take pride in both their kitchen and their service.

What impressed me most was how inclusive and easygoing the environment was. Everyone seemed to be there to have a good time, share a laugh, and enjoy great food and drinks. That’s how a community space should feel.

I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends. This is the kind of spot where you can relax, enjoy yourself, and feel like you belong — no matter who you are.

I regret to inform that my recent experience at Josh Bar & Grill was marred by deeply offensive language and behavior. During my visit, I was subjected to racist remarks and vulgar language, which created a hostile and uncomfortable atmosphere.

It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in any setting, let alone a place of business that should uphold standards of respect and inclusivity. As a customer, I expect to be treated with dignity and courtesy, regardless of race or background.

I urge Josh's Bar & Grill to take immediate and decisive action to address this issue, including implementing diversity training for staff and enforcing a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and hate speech.

Until meaningful steps are taken to rectify this situation, I cannot in good conscience recommend Josh Bar & Grill to others. Discrimination has no place in our society, and it should not be tolerated in any form. And yes of course I...
