Century Lanes — Local services in Hampton

Rude, Rude, Rude. And very poor customer service. Called ahead & we were told the best time to come was after 3 or 3:30 because their 1pm league would be finished by then. Verified on the phone that there were no later leagues as we wanted to practice for an upcoming tournament at this location. Arrived at the lanes at 3:35pm & despite there being open lanes we were told that they had no lanes available. When we advised that we were told that was the best time to come & we drove from across the tunnel because of that, he said 'well, other people got here right at that time & we have another league later so I can't give you any lanes'. We asked why we weren't told there was another league when we specifically asked to make sure we would have time to practice. We literally got no response & the gentleman (I use that term very loosely) walked away from the desk & just ignored us. Never been treated so poorly. Wish I could give zero stars. NOT a good first impression. Very disappointed in the lack of respect shown to potential new customers & league members who are very active in the bowling community. I should also mention that a family was preparing to checkout & make that lane available. And as we sat in the parking lot contemplating what to do, two guys pulled up, went inside to get lanes & immediately came back to their car to get their stuff because they were given a...

We went here with the expectation to have a great bowling experience. Needless to say bowling was ok. Hardly anyone was there . I asked one of the staff since it was our first experience here if this was normal ? The response I got was different for he said hes not sure really why no one was there, but it is not for him to know why, but to keep the machines running. However, when we went out to my car, my window was busted along with a couple others. I went inside to ask if there were camera on the building while the police office called was interviewing the other affected persons. The employee shook his head no. I mentioned what happened and the employee didnt seem suprised nor concerned. No one in the building came to check there cars. I dont recommend anyone coming here it is clearly unsafe. I had a bad experience with them. Balls and lane was stuck. The person at the front was asked to fix the lanes and it didn't work. He was called down to the lane multiple times to fix it. It was never fixed. He made us pay for 2 games that we never had a chance to play. He was rude about it and tried to tell us we played the games when we were waiting for over an hour to get the lane fixed. He argued that we played 2 games and made us still pay. I have evidence that we only played one game. He didnt care that we only played one game. They know that they're bowling alley is old and the lanes break down. He didnt have the courtesy to come down and check to make sure we only played one game. I WILL NEVER GO...
