UPDATE: The manager as well as the owner reached out and resolved the matter promptly! Thank you both! I didn’t know where I was going to get my pizza from but we are all good!
I have been ordering from Marcos’s ever since they opened in Hampton . I have told several friends and family members. Once you taste Marcos you will not eat any other pizza in this area again. I have never had a problem until this evening. I always do an online order. Sometimes I have to call in my order when my comp discount doesn’t work online and they take my order over the phone. Tonight I did a repeat order which I always do. I order the same thing all the time, I get there to pick my order up. I look at my order it has boneless wings instead of bone in wings. The cashier young lady explains to the gentleman, the cook, gentlemen said if you wait about 7 minutes we can correct it. I said no problem, I sat down on the bench. The cook as he’s getting ready to correct my wing order is explaining to the red shirt manager, and the red shirt manager is going back-and-forth with him. The cook looks back at me and tells the manager she’s sitting right there, I stood up and I said yes I am standing right here and I heard everything you said. The manager was not trying to let them correct my order! I said just refund me my money for the wings and keep the wings it’s not that big of an issue. The cook looked so sad. The cashier looked so sad as they tried to correct the issue.i said to the cook thank you for trying to correct my order it’s not your fault! The manager then asked me how did I pay? I said by debit card I gave him my debit card. He proceeds to try to write down my Debit card on the back of my receipt that he tore off my box and I immediately snatched my card and I told him he will never write my credit card information down on a piece of paper. Nobody should write anybody debit card number down or repeat it out loud that is standard common sense as I have worked in customer service 20+ years. I said give me cash and you figure out how to correct your cash drawer later, you will not write my debit card number down. He never tried to correct the issue, never did what he should do as a manager to rectify my order as a long time customer. Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Thee worst EVER !!! Let’s start off by saying Marcos is my favorite pizza place around here. Only been to this location once but the one in Denbigh is the BEST!!!! Anyway, went in the restaurant and noticed that the staff didn’t have on mask. I kindly asked if the lady handling my food put in a mask. SHE REFUSED!!!!! We Ordered 6 pizzas and wings after waiting almost an hour all the pizza was made WRONG!!! I was just going to deal with mine but my brother said that he paid for extra pepperoni and it wasn’t on the pizza. He went back in there and they took his pizza BACK (after he touched on it) and cooked it some more. They added about 3 hand full of pepperoni and threw it on top of his pizza. COMPLETELY NASTY especially with the COVID going around. I left and called the store to get corporate number to tell them about my experience. Store manager BRAD (who said his last name is irrelevant when I asked for it) answered and said that they don’t have corporate but he can help me. As soon as I start telling him the issues he bucked against it. Wouldn’t let me get a word out. I literally had to say shut up for him to let me get a word in. I asked to speak to someone higher he said it don’t get any higher. I asked so you the owner ??? and he said YES!!!! But I’m like you just told me you was the store manager, now you the owner too. He said he stands in the gap for the owner and I asked who do I speak with if I’m complaining about you? He said no one. So I’m leaving this review and will be calling the health department to inform them that MR. BRAD is allowing his staff to take food back from customers and recooking it and allowing coworkers to walk all around with masks. I will post the pic of the pizza they threw pepperoni on top of. The conversation with BRAD got no where because he HUNG UP ON ME !!!! So I will be leaving reviews everywhere and calling back to speak with the owner...or BRAD. Or whomever BRAD wants to lie and...
Read moreWhile waiting for my pizza to be prepared at this Marco Pizza Parlor, I observed the delivery guy coming through the door, walk behind the counter, pass the registers, to the food prep area, take pizzas out of the oven and box them without washing his hands. He then proceeded to prepare pizzas with some black gloves on and still he did not wash his hands before he donned the gloves. I spoke to another employee there to let them know this man did not wash his hands. The employee spoke with him the man came forward and told me he had on black gloves. He started to argue with me that it was okay for him to have black gloves on and wash the gloves and prepare Pizza. This is not Health Department procedure or standards and he needs to be retrained, taken off the prep line, only to deliver pizzas. This man told me that he had health department papers stating without washing his hands he can put gloves on and then wash his hands with the gloves on. Does this sound ludicrous or what!
