Slap Box Food Truck — Restaurant in Hamtramck

I’ll never know how the food is, because when I went at 11:30am on Weds, 08/20, the one and only person working was too busy cleaning to acknowledge me. I stood there about three minutes, he never even said, “Hello.”

When I said, “Excuse me,” the employee turned around, rolled his eyes, mumbled something under his breath and very quietly and reluctantly asked if he could help me with such disdain, I knew he and the business’ owner(s) couldn’t possibly want my money.

No way on Earth dude was really so into cleaning that a customer, the reason the business exists, should experience such a funky attitude. I definitely appreciate cleanliness! Also though, if the truck is so dirty that he needed to clean in ways that my presence was a bother, then they need to close for deep-cleaning.

“Slapbox” has seriously outdone themselves! I had to write about the incredible Surf n Turf burger, one of 3 items they're rocking this July. The combo of flavors is insane, perfectly cooked beef with that fresh seafood twist? Genius. And let's not forget their OG Smash Burger. It's a classic for a reason. juicy, cheesy, and just downright delicious. Every bite was an explosion of flavor, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was super friendly and quick considering how PACKED it was. they even have a counter seating area, something you don’t get a lot from other food trucks. If you're looking for a top-notch burger experience, Slapbox is the spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! mind you they stay open till 3AM!!!

They have the best smash burgers hands down. Everything is always fresh and super tasty. Favorite is the haymaker burger. I love that everything is halal. Not too many spots serving beef bacon but they do. Would prefer two slices for the price of the burger it's stuffed with a portion of shaved steak and a massive onion ring and fries and that fire slap sauce is chefs kiss. Simplicity at its finest. No fuss just good late night or any time eats. MUST TRY!!!!!! They do food well and their food truck is dope. Super inspiring for my bizz. Great job fellas!!!!!
