Good atmosphere, bland food, high prices,
I ordered the steak quesadilla for $16.99 and it was admittedly smaller than I expected. Served with a side of sour cream, tomatoes, and guacamole, it was okay, but it was light on filling and portions of the steak were rather tough. It was alright in quality, and the tortilla they used was great, but overall, not at all impressive.
When you sit at your table, you're presented with chips and salsa, but the chips aren't seasoned at all. A little salt would have gone a long way, but instead, they were simply oil flavor. Salsa had good flavor, but there wasn't nearly enough for the chips provided.
My partner had a chicken Chipotle dish which was far better than my quesadilla for a similar price. The sauce for the chicken was surprisingly creamy with a nice seasoning to it, if I were to go back, I'd probably have something like that, but honestly, I don't plan on going back.
It's a place trying once if you want a gentrified environment, but the value simply isn't there. 2 meals came out to almost $50, but the value of food wasn't there at all. For that money, you're paying for their rent and staff, as it is a fairly large building, but the food value isn't there at all.
Going forward, I'll likely stick with the many other Mexican restaunt options around here and avoid the olive garden of Mexican food.
Good for a date night or a sit down with friends, but the food isn't the main attraction...
Read moreJust finished my meal at El tarasco. A couple things to point out in regards to our service.
Wait time: We brought in a party of 9 and were told the wait time would be 30 minutes. Reasonable given today is mother's day. I didn't expect it to be 20 minutes but this was a win in my book my
Setting: We were placed next to the bar which has a loud atmosphere. That is fine, what got me was the lack of waiters/waitresses working on a big day like today. We were set and our orders were taken. Yet we didn't receive our first plate of food for 45 minutes. So that is an hour of waiting until food was served since walk in. The more upsetting piece is the waiter forgot to bring us our beverages to two of our party.
Food: Once the food did come out it was delicious. No complaints in regards to the cooks, portions were decent size and were flavorful.
Service: Almost non existent in this vicinity. I had to confront a waiter just to get my son his sides for his hamburger. Due to the lack of engagement I wouldn't recommend this business on peak holidays. Clearly the management is not ready for high volume.
A very disappointed customer is leaving this review.

Read moreI had a very unfortunate experience here today. I kept trying to make excuses to the rudeness and constant ignorance.
I’ve worked as a server and there is a certain standard they need to live up to it was not met.
Let me preface by saying this place had more people working that patrons eating. Not to mention the people in the kitchen. After letting us sit for quite a while they brought around menus without saying ANYTHING. My mother asked if we can order drinks.
“You can” I kid you not. She said “you can” before leaving.
Minutes later she came back around and asked what everyone would like to drink. I asked for water. They brought a couple people’s drinks after a few minutes. But no water. After tracking down the waiter I asked again (ten/twelve minutes later). Then again after a full twenty minutes - when the food started to arrive, I asked again to get a water. To my surprise they brought me chips. What a wonderful experience.
They eventually brought me water shortly after and walked away while staring at my aunt who was asking if she could get water. Needless to say she never got her water.
I’d recommend driving a few more miles instead of going to El...
