Excellent location right off the 198 in Hanford, CA. Very nice decor. Excellent ambient temp. Ambient music was 2010's pop hits which was meh. Lost a star off the bat for serving unfiltered city water that coated my mouth in a metallic chlorine. Service started excellent with the host, and progressed nicely through the experience, including personal service from the bartender. Excellent whiskey sours. We waited too long on silverware and table bread. However, immediately upon asking, it appeared. Waitress was professional, fairly knowledgeable and very friendly. She provided off menus suggestions for garnishment and had an excellent personal touch. Would recommend training wait staff in cocktail menu prep so they're prepared to confidently answer essential cocktail prep questions, ie: "is the whiskey sour made with egg white?"
Upon arrival, table bread arrives with 3 slices of classic french and 3 slices of seed crusted whole grain. Free unlimited refills. The bread comes with a delicious warm herb and spice infused house oil.
The bacon-wrapped scallops are wonderful. Delicious. Serves with a warming herbs aioli. The umami of the crispy bacon with the sweet-tart sauce combined with the velvety buttery-ness of the scallop was exquisite.
The calamari was done well. The sauce was a bit overbearing sweet-sour red sauce, the rings came breaded and fried. The breading was incredible, crisp, light, and flaky. I do wish the sweetness of the sauce wasn't so overbearing. It drowned out the onion, pepper vegetable blend it was served with. Very pleasant over all. My buddy who does not care for calamari enjoyed this appetizer thoroughly.
Dar and stormy cocktail was wonderful. Truly rolled across my pallet with delicious infused herbal aroma. The liquor wasn't muted but rather danced mellowly across my pallet.
The pesto tortellini was incredible.
The chicken parm was incredible.
The salmon was incredible..
I can't write anymore it's...
Read moreFirst of all, we never got to taste any food so no stars. One star for the host, and 4 stars as the atmosphere was nice, but it was difficult to carry on a conversation because it was somewhat loud. As it was our 30th Wedding Anniversary, my husband wanted to go someplace that was above and beyond. I feel bad for him as he choose Fugazzis and the evening was ruined. We walked in and were greeted very nicely and we were seated immediately. The host brought us water and stated that our waitress would be right with us. We sat there for over 30 minutes and a waitress never acknowledged we were even there! We were at a table literally in the middle of the restaurant. One waitress was serving food, another was clearing tables. After sitting there for 30 minutes, a waitress came through with water, bypassed our table, went to two tables past us and my glass was completely empty. She did not even look our way. As we were leaving, the host was extremely apologetic and had a very disappointed look on his face. But we told him we will never be back. We posted our experience on Facebook and with over 60 comments, the majority were not surprised. Only a handful had anything good to say, mostly about the service. ...
Read moreI'd like to start off with that this place gave me such a hard time trying to find it. The trees were blocking the whole building, but it was definitely worth the search. This place was delicious, off the rip I want to recommend to all the Shrimp Crustini from the appetizer because it is beyond delicious! There food is to die for and you will not be disappointed. And I would like to add that the accent of the place is very nice. I think people would love to have a date here for with the dimmed lights and candle deems a transparent romantic vibe. In addition to them having an ok management of controlling the COVID spread. Now for the improvements that they may want to consider. Walking into the place it was not to busy, but I was standing at the door for quite sometime prior to being seated. About 15 minutes, and I was not put on any sort of waiting list to be seated nor were there anybody in front of me in the line. So managing the people who do come to the door next time will have to be much better. All in all this place is a very nice and I will definitely consider visiting...
