went in and looked at the menu and the lady up front told me i could use the tablet in the front to order so i did. food came out and my drinks didn't then they told me they don't have mexican cokes ($4 each) so they offered me fountain drink (1.50$ on the tablet). i asked for the difference back and they said because i ordered in the kiosk they couldn't refund back to my card, i asked if i can get cash back instead and they said they couldn't do that. then she had the audacity to say to me "next time ask me if we have it first before you order" like what? first you tell me i can order on the machine and now what am i supposed to ask you if everything is available? wouldn't i just order through u then?? so i said wow ok. sat down and ate my food and she says oh for this one single time we will give you the money back. i'm like ??? one single time? you would've scammed me for the 2.50 and i got 2 of the mexican colas so a whole $5. usually i wouldn't care but the attitude she gave me for even asking for it back? how rude. and then saying oh this one single time? how does that make sense you OWE me the money? it's not like i didn't like something and asked for a refund. i ordered something and you didn't have it and im asking for the difference back. everyone else was very nice especially the cook. but the girl in the front there idk her name is gonna ruin this place with her poor attitude and...

I love coming to this place, it is one of my favorite places to eat during the day, however, I have been to this place multiple times after work and the service is much different. The women in the kitchen and the waitress leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service. I came in with the fam. Tonight and ordered my usual, carne asada fries with the fries on the side. Usually that is enough to feed my husband and I with the meat and topings and the kids eat the fries. Not this time. I got a handful of meat on a tiny paper plate, each of the toppings separately in their own tiny plate. When I asked the lady if she could revise the amount of what she had given me, since it was less than half of what I get with a small order, this time I ordered a large order, she was rude to me. She said she couldn’t give me more than what she was giving me and that maybe someone gave me the wrong order last time and that all she could do was just give me my money back, which I took, but I had no other option. Tacos El Grullo used to be one of my go-to spots as a teen—great food at a great price. Unfortunately, it’s not the same anymore. A couple of months ago, I ordered tripas tacos and paid extra for them to be crispy, but they came out extremely soggy. I decided to give it one more shot today, but it only confirmed how far the place has fallen.

We ordered 11 tacos and 2 drinks—$50 after all the excessive charges for every little add-on. At least the tripas were crispy this time, but the Al pastor was completely bland, with zero flavor.

To make things worse, my toddler put $0.75 into the vending machine for a toy, and after it ate her money, the staff refused to give her the coins back. And when we asked about drink refills, one employee said yes, only for another to come over and try to charge nearly $3 for a refill.
