Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Hanford

RUDE host!!!! She is terrible!!! We went today for lunch and place was full, my husband and I we’re willing to wait to be seated we were in no rush but when the host seen us she basically told us that it was too full and it was going to take a long time to get our food, I told her it was okay and she shook her head and walked away... I still waited and when she came back I asked her for a menu, she told me again that it was too busy and there was no seats, she hesitated to give me a menu, when she finally did she looked so upset that we were willing to wait. Took me a minute to realize that she was basically telling us to leave. I have never been treated like that at a restaurant. It’s sad because I love the food there but I will never go back because of the way she treated us paying customers. She had been rude to me in the past but she took it to a whole level today and because of that Thai Kitchen has lost me as a customer! Friendly service but was a little slow even though there weren't that many people in the restaurant.

Our order: The fried shrimp appetizer- was really good but kind of pricey and small for how many they give you. The sauces were very tasty. Soda- The taps run heavy on carbonation. Each soda refill costs. This would have been nice to know beforehand especially if you're in a large group. Jasmine rice- cooked fine. Wish there was an option for sticky rice. Yellow chicken curry- it was so mild I couldn't taste the curry flavor. The curry was very watered down. Not much going for the curry, just a few pieces of low quality chicken and some carrot. Larb gai- good overall. Sweeter than I've had before but I enjoyed it.

If I return, I would order the larb again, but definitely would not...

For a number of years, this was our go-to Thai restaurant in the area. Great food for a good price. We were away for a couple of years and decided to go back one evening with some guests. What greeted us at the door was the small of sewage and it got worst as we were being ushered to our table towards the back near the restrooms. I wanted to leave but everyone else wanted to stay and asked for a table near the front door. I couldn't eat and never went back.
