Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Hanover Township

We went there on 4/25/19 around 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon and received terrible service. There was an older Indian lady behind the counter and she was chatting on her phone in another langauge. We stood there and waited for her to get off her phone for about 5 minutes. We paced and made eye contact the whole time. When she finally ended her call, she took our order: 2 medium dipped cones. She didnt wash her hands and never put gloves on. She handled the cones from the tops(not the area where the paper covers the bottom of the cone) and made one of the cones about half the size as the other. As she was bringing the cones from the back where she had dipped them, her phone rang again so she set them down on the counter on her side and handed one of them over as she grabbed the phone and answered it. Again, she chatted in a foreign language and slowly handed us the 2nd cone. We left and ate the ice cream outside. This was the only thing me and my friend had eaten from yesterday and we both came down with food poisoning. Overall terrible experience and we will never return. I have visited this location a hand full of times over the past 2 years. Each time, I am met at the drive thru window by the same lady. I believe that she is the owner but I cannot confirm that. At each interaction, this woman was and is incredibly rude. I keep returning because everyone has an "off day." Yesterday, I decided to stop on my way home from work and ordered a milkshake. I waited at the window for 10 minutes after my order. When she handed me the milkshake, it was like water. I questioned her about this and she attempted to blame the ingredients. However, I have had this milkshake at another DQ and this was not my experience. When I shared this with her, she just stared at me. At initial taste it seemed ok, however, after that it was leaving a terrible after taste in my mouth and I threw it away. I would recommend avoiding this location. I purchased from this location food, the staff resided that the oldest food(which should’ve been thrown out) was okay to serve me. I took it home and saw it, called in to complain. I was told that I could return, anytime for a credit of $15. Upon my returning a few months later, the staff was rude and seemed to treat as if I was a homeless person begging for food. The cashier asked me “are you buying anything, if not more to the side” and proceeded to ignore me. I then asked for the manager and she contacted the owner about the problem and took my number and the owner said he would call me. It has been over a month and still no call.
