Lady Sweet Cafe — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

I just went here for the first time today. My husband and I get bubble tea no less than twice a week at other places in Schaumburg, but decided to try here because it's closer to home.

I got a jasmine tea with Boba and grass jelly.

The good: It was neat that you could order from their touch screen console. I always appreciate the modern places. I liked how you can control the level of sugar as well as the level of ice. It tasted good. Not the best I ever had, but it was fine. The inside was cute. Very pink lol. They had some cute tables for you to sit at.

The bad: The price was very high in comparison to the other places you could get bubble tea just a few miles away in Schaumburg. Everything you add in was 75 cents additional and the actual Boba was not included and is charged as an add-in. The base price for the tea as $6, so i paid $7.50 for Boba and jelly. I've gotten similar in a larger size for $5 - $6. It was almost $17 after tax for 2 bubble teas. When you order on the console, it prints the drink for them to make. It seems to have cut off part of my order, so I actually got no grass jelly in my tea...only the Boba. I didn't really notice til we had already left and were up the street.

Sweet workers, aesthetic little cafe, amazing bubble tea! I ordered mango milk tea with regular Boba and it is by far one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever had. I also ordered Matcha rolled ice cream, and I was surprised to find that it was actually a little bit salty and not overly sweet which I loved. The only thing I would recommend is toning down your sweetness level if you are not someone who likes a lot of sugar in their drinks. For example, I’m typically one who likes sweet drinks and I decided to have my mango milk tea at 80% sweetness instead of 100% sweetness, and even coming from me (sugar lover) I had to say it was pretty sweet. However, there are multiple options regarding how sweet you want your drink so don’t let that scare you away! A lot of places actually don’t let you choose your sweetness, so I love the options that Lady Sweet Café gives you! Just as a little side-note: the boba is some of the freshest I’ve ever tried! After I ate my rolled ice cream, I could only finish half of my drink so I decided to leave some of it for the next day. I was surprised to find that the Boba was just as soft and sweet as it was the day before....

Seems like this place gets a lot of decent reviews but in my experience, I wouldn't go back here. My family and I love bubble tea and desserts. We have frequented many bubble tea shops in the area. When we found out about Lady Sweet, we were so happy because it is so close to us. So we took the trip with our family.

When we got there we noticed that the place is very well decorated. However that's all it was for us. We wanted to get tapioca in our smoothies. They didn't have it. We wanted to get jelly instead, they didn't have it. We wanted to get a certain flavor of smoothie, they didn't have it. For a place that just opened up, you would think they would be prepared to take orders. When we finally decided what to get based on the limited availability, we were again disappointed. The drinks were way too expensive. Quality isn't the best, very artificial taste. Overall, this place is not horrible , but not enough to bring me back.
