Thai Siri Restaurant — Restaurant in Hanover Township

Recently came here to try out. The atmosphere was nice, cute little spot. As a larger party (I.e., 5 people), it took forever to get our food. We ordered 2 appetizers and it took about 20 minutes for each one to get to our table. After we ordered our entrees, we waited for over an hour for it. It wasn’t until I asked how much longer that they slowly started to bring our entrees out. Some of us asked for our food to be spicy and it was doused with spice that it was way too hot to even enjoy. My niece had the sesame chicken and even though it was good, she had already lost her appetite after over an hour wait (she ended up only eating the chicken satay because she was hungry). the restaurant was not busy at all. There were maybe 4 other tables that were already eating and looked like they were finishing up. There were also 3 other tables that got there AFTER we did and they got served their apps and entrees before we did. As soon as we received our food, we ate a few bites and asked for the check because at that point it would have likely taken forever to get boxes and our check. The only reason I am giving a 1-Star is because the food is good. Service on the other hand NOT so much. From the get go it was a mess. We called in the "lunch" order and we ordered Green Curry and Mussaman Curry. When I got there to pick up, the lady at the cash register gave me just ONE order, the green curry. Then I told her we ordered Mussaman Cury, she said no we didn't I then said YES we did, I was there when it was called in. She then said, "I pack quick for you" she ran to the back then came back. She gave me the food in a brown bag. I asked for a plastic bag she said "it fit there" talking about the green cury order. It did not fit, she went back and got me the plastic bag. She just handed me the bag. When I got to my job, they had put NO utensils in our bags. Manager called and the lady said for us to go pick up the utensils we then said we couldn't go because we where a ways. ...HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Even if the food IS good I will certainly NOT go back. They should hire people who care about customers, and will go the extra mile for the customers. I mean com'n utensils & napkins should not even be missed, that is just a common...

Actually surprised that this restaurant is rated this high. Did not enjoy my experience at all. I ordered Pad See Ew with tofu and Thai Iced Tea. The iced tea was fantastic, but the Pad See Ew was burnt. The broccoli didn’t have the heads, which in my opinion is the best part. And they also messed up my order. I said I would like egg, but they didn’t put it in. Also messed up my friend’s orders. But the noodles were also just bland, no spice at all. Then I told the waitress that my dish was burnt, to which she said that that’s just how it’s made and the dark color won’t change. But I insisted that the dark color wasn’t the issue, it was the taste, so she eventually decided to bring out another order, which was actually much better (and not burnt). But customer service wasn’t actually good, they didn’t even give us cutlery until all the dishes were out, and when we requested extra chili sauce, they forgot to bring it to us.
