I had booked Morkee’s for my daughter’s ninth birthday. I didn’t know what to expect, but the review seemed very positive. We’ve ran out of things to do for a kids party, so I was looking for something different. The place is conveniently located. I was very happy with the service that we were provided from the minute. I called to book my daughter’s party. The communication with Mark from the beginning was great. He was able to accommodate us for a party on a Friday. The room was equipped for about 20 kids. We were able to order a Dairy Bell ice cream cake in advance through them and Pizza Hut Pizza Plaza cross away. They provided country time, lemonade, bottles, and water for the kids. So this was a truly one stop shopping event. At the event, the kids made quite a few chocolate creations and were able to take home a pizza box full of chocolate I can keep going on and on with this review, but I figure everyone gets my point. I highly recommend Morkes Chocolates Cedar Lake for all your chocolate needs. It is locally owned, with a variety of delicious sweets; many that change by the holiday or season. You should definitely stop in regularly to see what's new, from Valentines Day chocolate covered strawberries to chocolate Easter bunnies and Easter baskets, to summer loving Dole Whips, to holiday gifts. In addition to the gorgeous shop, there is a party room perfect for kids birthday parties, team building events, and school fundraisers. Adults can partake as well, with packages for fondue parties (think ladies nights!) Our first visit to Morkes was inspired by a walk-in event to allow kids to make their own chocolate. We were directed to the party room, and the staff was friendly, organized, and patient. My kids enjoyed themselves, and the chocolate was delicious. Mark, the owner, stood out to me. I hosted my son’s birthday party here, and it was by far the best kids’ party I’ve ever thrown at a facility, and that’s saying a lot, considering I have three kids ranging from ages 5 to 19! We’ve had a lot of parties at many places. The atmosphere was calm and enjoyable, no chaos, no overwhelming noise—just a fun afternoon filled with chocolate activities that all the kids loved.

The party room is spacious enough for parents, family members, and friends to comfortably watch the activities, and you’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks.

The owners went above and beyond to make the day special for my son. They even ordered custom Star Wars chocolate molds just for his party, which was such a thoughtful touch. The kids had a blast making chocolate pizzas, Star Wars chocolate pops, and dipping treats.

Everyone raved about the experience, and I truly appreciate how warm and welcoming the owners are. We visit this store whenever we’re in area—it’s definitely the kind of local business you feel proud to support. If you’re considering a kids’ party here, go for it—you won’t be disappointed!!!...
