We could not have picked a better place to have our baby shower! Leading up to the event, the catering team set up a phone call to help us plan the logistics and menu. In addition, they met us for a site visit to review everything. I couldn’t believe how private the semi-private space felt. They really did a nice job blocking off our reserved area so we could celebrate with our friends and family (approx 35 people). The space is very clean and has great natural light. The food was amazing and there was more than enough! We had a buffet with all of the Sullivan’s Castle Island classics and some salads. In addition, the staff walked around taking drink orders and served passed apps. All of our guests kept commenting on how great the customer service was. Having been to Sullivan's Castle Island in Southie, and many times to various Kelly's roast beef locations, I have to say that sadly this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. The portions were extremely small, only a handful of fried clams, and they themselves were extremely small, and the price was through the roof. For what I paid for the meal for my wife and I, we were still quite hungry when we left. Couldn't have been any more disappointed. Not trying to be mean or a jerk and say bad things about the facility, but just totally disappointed in my experience. Kelly's up in the North Shore offers so much more food at a much reasonable price than the Hanover Sullivan's site.
