I used to frequent this place when I stayed closer. I stay an hour away now. I was looking for food, headed from Piedmont, Park with a family of 6. Everything along the path seemed tooclose at 9. I'm thinking of places we can go, and google Maps showed Grecian Gyro. I thought yes! Haven't been there in years. I saw that tey too closed at 9. Google Maps said we would arrive by 8:44. The parking lot was full. We drove around to find parking circling back to waffle house and parking there. The time is now 8:47 pm. I go in, hoping I didn't miss the cut-off time, just trying to feed the fam with a familiar fave. Upon entrance, everyone looked irritated, and the environment was high stress. I asked if I was too late to place an order. The cashier asked, I'm assuming, the manager. She yelled, " No more orders after this!" After looking at the grill, I asked, is there enough for 6 gyros with potatoes? The cashier asked the manager, I assume, who said, "Oh no, we have to cook the meat to order, and we can't do that." I said thank you. There was a male employee in the corner who was staring at me with a grin on his face. I could gauge from the silence that they were waiting for me to leave so they could start talking mess. While I understand the circumstances and I understand that I came in last minute, kindness, and a positive attitude would have made this a completely different and understandable experience. Please just be kind in everything you do. My rating was solely based on my experience and not the food. I love...

I work for a larger production company in film, so let me preface by saying that my to-go orders usually include 10-15 orders in one. Let me just say, the Hapeville location is absolutely wonderful. I’ve gone twice over the course of my current show and both times, Rick, the store manager, has taken the absolute BEST care of me. My food is always ready at the time it’s supposed to be, and Rick labels every single item for me and goes through everything with me to make sure I have it all! They always offer to bring things out to my car for me, and today he gave me a free large drink which was so incredibly kind. All the employees are very friendly and patient. It’s a smaller location so it can feel a little cramped, and it is high volume customer wise, but they handle the busy atmosphere with such care and finesse. This is likely the only location I’ll ever go to. The food is absolutely delicious. I got the Falafel Plate today and it was so yummy. Their Greek salads and chicken plate are very good as well. Also, even though it’s a bit cramped on the inside, they have a spacious patio outside that’s covered and has plenty of seating. Thanks again, Rick, for all your help. You deserve a raise and a...

I have been going to the Grecian gyro for more than 15 years. The only thing has change was the price. The service was constantly fast and food fresh when the owner was around. Unfortunately, now the service and food has gone down hill. The workers need to be fired. I do not give a bad rating on a business just for one bad experience. I usually go back over 5 different days. I usually go to this location around lunch time. I expect a crowd around this time. That's not the issue. I know what I am ordering. The cashier was clearly not listening as he repeated multiple times wrong. As I waited for the food, I saw multiple customers started to roll there eyes as there order was done wrong. The workers talking about everything else that was not related to the business. The cook seem that she did not want to be there. I say this because she was handling the food wrong. I will not come back until the owner get his...

I visited this restaurant earlier this morning and placed an order for takeout. Everything looked and smelled great, and I was excited to enjoy my meal once I got home. However, halfway through eating, I noticed something extremely off putting a small piece of hair on my cucumber. I pulled it out, and this is the piece that came from my food.I was absolutely disgusted and mortified. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing up everything I had eaten from the plate. This experience was incredibly disappointing and felt very unsanitary.I want to be clear that I’m not trying to bash the business I understand that mistakes can happen but I do believe more strict precautions should be taken when handling and serving food to customers. Cleanliness and food safety are essential, and I hope this feedback helps improve future practices.

The food's ok, but I was disappointed they don't offer tzaziki. And don't even bother trying the baklava--it's SO dry! The gyro and pork suvlaki were yummy. Spanakopita was ok. Their greek-style potatoes aren't the traditional lemon ones you may expect--they're just deep fried with a seasoning like Cavendar's sprinkled on. Parking is atrocious when there's more than 10 people dining and seating is limited at this dinner. Also, you have to walk through the back kitchen where raw meat is being prepared to use their shoebox-sized bathroom. However, I might go again if I were in the area and DESPERATE for Greek cuisine.

I really tried to like the gyro plate but it's just not hot and fresh enough for me. The potatoes are luke warm and the meat is dry and not even edible as a result of being pre-cut off the spit. The salad greens weren't crispy and fresh, they were withered. Please do your research to know the proper way to serve gyros (i.e. Meat stays on the spit at a low flame and is cut when ordered then warmed on a HOT grill! I came here based on the reviews so obviously people don't know or haven't experienced what great or even really good Greek food tastes like because this isn't it.
