After dropping our son off at the airport, we came across this museum when we strolled around after grabbing a bite to eat in Hapeville.
It was an unexpected highlight of the day as our friendly tour guide, Patty, showed us around and informed us about all the interesting local history, not only related to the train depot, Ford plant, and the beginnings of the ATL airport, but also on the technology of that era including a Morse code device, a paper copier, and a very intimidating hot curler machine (that looked like it could set one’s head on fire! 😬😆).
Those were just a few of the many interesting things to see and I was glad that Patty was there to point them out to us. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have known what some things were like the simple metal hoop that was used for delivering messages to the train conductor as the train passed by!
