We had the privilege of visiting the third restaurant and tasting room in the Portland metro area and were able to attend the exclusive owners sneak peak. Every aspect of this location is spectacular!
Our server William greeted us with a taste of Willamette Valley Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. It is a beautiful wine - very light and crisp. We bought three bottles to take home with us.
We started off with an appetizer of arancini paired with 2016 Elton Florine Pinot Noir. The arancini is perfectly prepared and a very generous amount for an appetizer.
For our entrées we shared the mushroom risotto and braised short ribs paired with 2018 Griffin Creek Syrah. Both entrées are absolute culinary delights created by DJ MacIntyre. The risotto has the perfect consistency and comes with a plentiful amount of local mushrooms.
The braised short ribs are stunning they are melt in your mouth short ribs. The mashed potatoes and gravy that accompany the short ribs are the perfect accompaniment.
We topped off our meal with a splash of Valley 2018 Métis Red Blend from Walla Walla. We loved this red blend so much we brought home three bottles.
The three wines that I mentioned for pairings where are included in the Taste of Oregon flight.
We are sooooo excited for this location to be open after months of anticipation. This location is exquisite and was well worth the wait!! The attention to detail is exceptional! Every aspect of this venue is exquisite.
Willamette Valley Vineyards commitment to providing exceptional cuisine and creating each dish with fresh, local, sustainable ingredients that are designed intentionally to pair with their wines is what makes them so stellar and stand out from the rest.
This is the perfect place to savor the flavors of the Pacific Northwest in both their cuisine and their wines.
Their outdoor space is as beautifully designed as their indoor space. The gas fireplaces are fantastic! We look forward to returning with friends and family and enjoying the beautiful space...
Read moreI have eaten there with my several times with my family and have always been very pleased with the whole experience up until my visit on 3/22/25 for lunch. The biggest issue was with the service as the restaurant was not overly busy. My daughter and I ordered the wine flight tasting and not once were we given any information about each of the wines were were tasting. When we asked for additional place setting for my son who was joining us it was never brought to our table. When he arrived he wanted sparking water (as he was an on call doctor that day and could not drink wine) and when our server finally came to the table he was offered a choice of pink, yellow or green water. Not even offered a flavor of any kind. Now mind you he still has not place settings and we have had to ask to several times to at least get him some silverware. We ordered dessert as we were there for a birthday and one dessert was unavailable so we chose another and it was not good so we did not eat it. She saw it sitting there uneaten and never asked if it was ok. We finally had to ask another server to please get our bill as we could never find our server throughout our whole lunch experience. I do enjoy Willamette and we are owner members and will go...
Read moreExcited to have a new place close to home that looks upscale. Atmosphere gets a 5 star, service superb too. The wine was decent we enjoy Pinot Noir, but food is par. Presentation of food was great. Bacon Brussels sprouts are best thing on menu. Grilled Beef Ribeye was best shared item we ordered and cooked perfectly! Here are the things we didnât loveâŠThe $6 bread is overpriced, small and nothing spectacular. If you have a group of 6 you need buy 2 really and $12 for bread when every other place doesnât charge, felt pricey. Potato wedges were cooked well but need seasoning, the dip helps. Grilled carrots were bland and larger ones were a bit undercooked. Crab toast great pieces of crab but thick toast was too overwhelming that comes with it. Roast chicken lacks flavor. Striped Bass has more fishy flavor a group of 5 all did not like the fish one person wanted to spit it out. We chalked it up to a bad piece of fish. The waiter comped two meals for us. Deserts we passed and didnât order, nothing sounded great. We are hoping more time and experience this place improves. Will give it a try in...
