As delicious as the other biscuits cafes I've been to. I imagine with seating for around 85 people this place is going to get crazy packed, but at 11 AM on a Tuesday it wasn't bad. There were still quite a few people eating there, but not a full house, or 45 minute wait like it will be weekend mornings.
I got French Toast which I've had at other Biscuits Cafes and it was just as good, not better not worse. Same deliciousness I remember. My wife got an egg white omelette and no matter where we go it always gets messed up when she orders egg whites. So of course it was made wrong. They gave me my food and then brought her just her hashbrowns and biscuit as we waited for it to be remade. It was remade and she said it was delicious.
Now this could easily be a 2 star review, but Biscuits did the appropriate thing when a mistake is made. They apologized and took my wifes omelette and cocoa (which is amazing) off of the bill. We got out of there for just my $12 French Toast Combo and tip. Notice in my menchies review I wasn't comped and the review reflects that. When you waste someone's time you can at least compensate them for it by comping.
We will definitely be back. Service was great food was great. Mistakes happen, thank you for doing your best to...
Read moreOn May 26th of this year I met two of my friends at the Happy Valley Biscuits for brunch. We ate outside on the patio, and it was wonderful. The food was all delicious (I had the lemon-blueberry French toast) and we had a pleasant time together. I want to give special shout-outs to the following staff: 1: Whitney, our server, who despite being badly mistreated by an obnoxious customer, kept her cool with us, and did an excellent job of taking care of us. It upset us that she'd been treated so unfairly and I hope that customer never comes back again. Whitney was friendly and capable, and we were very pleased with her serving. McKenzie, our hostess. It was only her second day on the job, and she did a terrific job. She was friendly and helpful and we were really pleased with the way she helped us. She filled in with extra coffee while Whitney was busy and made sure we were taken care of. I don't know the young man's name, but he did an awesome job rescuing a spider that was trapped underneath one of the outdoor umbrellas. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't just kill it, but instead set it out in the garden area where...
Read moreMeh... my husband got the chicken fried steak, which he liked, but thought was a smaller than usual portion. I got the avocado benedict and was super disappointed. The last time I went my English muffin was cold and untoasted. So this time, I asked if they'd toast it extra because I like it crispy. It came out black and my poached eggs had hard yolks. Pretty sure benedicts aren't supposed to have hard yolks unless specifically requested, but the last several times, that's how they served it... I feel crazy having to ask for my muffins toasted and my yolks runny. I shouldn't have to ask. I order the dish all the time at different breakfast joints, it's one of my favorites, and biscuits is the only one that's consistently disappointing.
At any rate, the food is hit and miss. The prices are average to above average, considering the quality and what you get. If you're going to do biscuits cafe, I think the Johnson Creek location is better. Happy Valley needs better food options... I'd much rather drive a little for Pine State Biscuits or Tasty and Sons. You'll pay about the same, but the food experience is far and...
