China King Restaurants — Restaurant in Hardinsburg

I'm sure for a small town like Hardinsburg this is as good as it gets. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with steamed rice, house lo mein without mushrooms, and extra egg rolls.

The order took nearly 25 minutes to prepare. And we were the only ones there. The order was not right. I got both orders with the housefriend rice. Mushrooms were in the order.

The Kung Pao chicken was bland. It was missing the spiciness that should have been there. The lo mein was also missing flavor. The house fried rice was nothing more than browned rice.

The egg rolls were big compared to what I normally get at home. The only problem was it was nothing more than cabbage rolled and deep fried.

I feel sorry for the locals who have this as their only option for Chinese food. I was confused as to why they had a grease trap to remove waste oils. They shouldn’t have any left with the amount of oils served with the food. Don’t let the run down hole in the wall appearance of most great Chinese places fool you. Their lack of enthusiasm painting one thin brush stroke on the window trim bleeds into their cooking. Hardinsburg may god have mercy on...

Where do I start? Frozen cubed veggies in every dish...they just add uncooked nuts to whatever you get. Trash. It all cheap. Garbage. It's like they think the people of hardinsburg are stupid. No passion in their cooking. I ld rather eat something from the frozen food section. It will be better. So stop taking advantage of these people and put out some quality food instead of the garbage...
