My wife (who's from Louisiana) and I decided to stop in and try this iteration of Popeyes for lunch. After placing an order for spicy chicken strips and a spicy 3 piece meal, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the food. (Isn't Popeyes supposed to be "fast" food?)

Neither one of us found the food to actually be spicy, however. Compared to nearly any Popeyes in LA, it was outright bland. I can't even imagine how flavorless the "not spicy" chicken would be. While the 3 chicken pieces were juicy, the chicken strips were extremely dry. The fries were okay, and the biscuits, at least, were good.

One oddity of this particular Popeyes was the staffing: It was entirely staffed by folks of Indian decent. While they were extremely friendly and happy to help, I couldn't help but to wonder if there is some relationship between Indian spices and Cajun spices. ...
